Alison Roman's Spicy White Bean Stew

Alison Romans new stew recipe has it all: spicy harissa, creamy white beans, and earthy broccoli rabe. Its also topped with feta and lots of herbs, because, hello, its Alison. Emily: She makes it look easy. Because it is. What are her credentials? I dont get it. Made the chickpea stew. good, but nothing that special. And the amount of salt and oil she uses makes one wonder how she could lose?

Why am I addicted to her videos? I literally watched almost every video because the recipes are easy and use ingredients I mostly already have or are not expensive. Better than requiring me to buy a special ingredient that costs 20 and Ill never use in another recipe.

I can't stand Alison. I really don't understand why people like this condescending woman. Her voice alone is enough to ruin anything she does. Also, her recipes are really dumbed down versions of other recipes.

It would be great if someone was bored enough during this quarantine to comment the ingredients list cuz Im not paying to view the recipe lol.
Hold on everyone it will soon be over.

Wow that opening about Whole Foods being out of stock and wanting to set up a secret hoarding society for important was really prescient considering it was at the end of January.

Love the videos! Made the stew. It was to die for. Used spinach but next time Ill use chard. You had preserved lemons in your refrigerator, do you preserve your own?

Amazing recipe! I love it. I added carrots, at the end - broccoli & parsley since I only had just a few spinach leaves (I put them as well) and it is great: )

7: 37 basically it went from soupy to stewy? It only thickens alone? I Was going to blend together some of the garbanzo /potato /w water to make a creamy base

Have made this on multiple occasions because it is delicious and have had several family members ask me for the recipe. This dish is definitely a keeper
