For me: when Robin makes dinner, awesome finds at the thrift store, for the comedians that give me a good laugh before going to bed. Also, thankful for the flowers we bought one month ago that are somehow still alive, the yummy recipes weve been experimenting with lately, all of your heart-warming comments and emails, thankful I get to see my family soon, thankful for the amazing book Im listening to, love it when the sun comes through the window where I sit and work, thankful for kittens and babies, my warm cup of tea each morning, sci-fi movies okay thats way more than 3, so Ill pass it to you now: )

I had very similar thoughts lately. And I realized that chasing happiness could and often makes us even more upset when we fail in something or when the achieved goal doesnt bring this highly expected happiness. just as you said.
In my opinion we should rather concentrate on being good humans - for others and for ourselves - that means kind, helpful, affectionate, creative. and I believe that by doing so the happiness will come naturally at some point.

There comes a point in your life where you no longer care about happiness anymore. All you want is just inner peace. no matter who you are, where you are or what you have, peace is the only way to truly live because you realize that happiness is temporary but peace of mind can be with you till your last breath.

Watching this at very overwhelming time in my life personally. How to u stay positive and happy when so many bad things are happening in the world around u and you cant help it? Animals being hurt and killed for selfish purposes and what not, how to find the silver lining?
