I have never seen a less engaged and uninteresting host on any of your shows! I have loved your series for many years and being South African I felt that a MUCH better host could have shown you around our beautiful country. It is a shame to see her disengaged with your conversation, your comments and excitement about everything around you, to show such little interest in your joy to enjoy new foods and I felt that a different host could have represented our county and your show in a much stronger way. Keep up the great work Mark and lovely to see you visit the mother land.

If you are still in Durban, you have to try happy chappy. They are known for their bunny chows. Another must visit is britannia restaurant and victory lounge, their mutton and cabbage bunny is to die for. This video is completely wrong
For starters its measured in 1/3. 1/4. or full loaf not this small medium large nonsense, I rarely see a vegetarian bunny, they are not intended to be vegan. its chicken/mutton/beef or beans. This guy, made his own story there and its served with Sambal not Achar. Achar too expensive
So 1000 years or not. Patels is doing it wrong
I make these at home. Durban Curry. the best curry in the world. and India doesnt even know it exists

The sad part of South Africa is that the whites there try to brainwash you into thinking that walking out in the streets will get you brutally kidnapped and killed. That the other blacks are just waiting to do so. Hence I never got the courage to go out to these wonderful places to eat while I was travelling there. Clearly from how freely Mark navigates there shows that all that is just racist propaganda that they still project

I’m seriously concerned about Mark Wiens' health. I’ve been following him from the beginning, and it looks like he is losing weight over the years after eating all kinds of extremely high-calorie food. Those who never watched his early videos, please watch them to understand what I am talking about. I really like him and wish him all the best. I hope I am wrong about his health and that he is perfectly fine.

Thank you for coming to Durban, South Africa! I really wanted to try Goudens, but we had such a horrible experience that we decided to leave. I’m not going to go into too much detail, but long story short, we were ignored, shoved aside and spoken to horribly. We weren’t even served. It’s really unfortunate, but hopefully their service has improved, and perhaps we'll go back and try them again.

Sorry but curry in a loaf of bread is looking so mushy and yucky. I saw other video they also dig a hole in a loaf bread and throw food and sauce in. Just looks a gooey mushy mess. No naan bread. No roti Just tear a loaf apart and dig a hole and throw everything and the sauce in it lol

Mark absolutely destroyed that bunny. so glad that he didn't skip Durban, and even explained the origin of the bunny. The SA series overall is great, I even learnt a few things, I never knew mango atcha was so popular I'm Jozi. Nice one Mark!

Dbn CBD is a crime infested, dirty hellhole, completely destroyed by Govt. Years ago, we used to get that fish and chips - not anymore. There’s a good reason you won’t see many middle-class or rich Durbanites frequenting the CBD.

Mark you must try Britannia, Orientals, TSD, Hollywood, Westbrook Bakery, Demas, Johnny’s, Seabelles bunnies and decide which is the best bunny! South African food is one of the best in terms of quality and taste!

You forgot to mention the competition between Zulu and Indian.
The Zulu people killed many Indias in Natal. They were butcherd by the Ama Zulu. Hundreds and thousands if Indians were killed.
