The BEST chocolate cake eggless, dairy-free, vegan Tiffany: Wow the cake looks great! I really appreciate how you explain the use of the ingredients and possible substitutes (and even did a small experiment to demonstrate the effects of acid on various plant-based milk ) I would love to try this recipe! Do you think it will also work to bake the cake batter in cupcake molds/ loaf pan as I don't have this large cake tin.

Thank you for this. I am reminded of my Grammy, who taught me to make chocolate cake. Hers used Crisco and oleomargarine, and, it was the most awful thing. Very sad. My Granny, on the other had, used butter for the buttercream, and mayonnaise for the chocolate cake. Wonderful, and I ate much of it. I learned that day that dietary restrictions means a completely different lifestyle. It isn t reasonable to spend so much time and effort to get a facsimile. Rather like trying to substitute Indian curry when you want Jamaican curry.
But it was fun to watch you have fun. Thank you.

Sadia, for all of us Carnivores who love our veggies I thank you. I have been watching you for years and I love how you have taken vegetables to a new level. I'm not rushing out to totally go vegan but reducing my meat intake and replacing it with an amazing veggie dish is working out for me and my friends. Plus. how you explain techniques and products helps my friends see clearly how to execute your dishes with ease. Pease keep sending out videos, they're great, David.

happy Birthday! I respectfully wanted to say my opinion about your kitchen background. The leaves hanging from the shelves make the view very crowded and messy. I'm your old audience, I know you are a green plant lover, but this design distracts the focus of the audience. I hope we will see an airy, open, and minimal interior design soon.

Happy birthday! I just taught myself about Dutch processed cocoa powder. I noted that the cocoa is washed in a potassium solution that neutralizes its acidity. Assuming that's a perfectly safe process, I kinda feel ordinary bitter cocoa powder sits better with me. Will it make much difference to the outcome of the cake? xxx

Do your newsletters have the chemistry in mixing certain ingredients like how you explained the difference milks and vinegar? Do you have more videos with that type of info? I really would like to get the understanding of mixing ingredients so that I can know what will work.

This cake looks amazing but i've been always amazed how people abroad use butter for frosting, here speaking jokingly, people would beat you up for using butter bcs it just doesn't taste as good for as heavy cream or heavy cream n mascarpone combo

I love all your videos. Learnt so much from this video! Didn't know about cacao vs cocoa powder and about the science behind your curdling experiment either
And of course, the beautiful cake. Can't wait to grow old and bake myself this beauty!

I appriciate your knowledge sharing so much! Could you also create & share gluten free versions of cakes? I have been trying quite a few flour mixtures but oh dear, it is such a science project when doing it vegan.

I've found sometimes my icing seperates when I add dairy free milk to frosting recipes. I usually add it before adding icing sugar. I will have to try this order instead to see if that's what is ruining my icing
