This butter burger recipe stuffed w/ compound butter = juiciest burger ever. Decadent & delicious AF! Jonathan: I get that you don't wanna tell people how they should have their burger, but I feel like a big portion of cooking is the temperature and time. Teaching the preperation is good for showing tips and tricks to make dishes better, but the time over heat is how the ingredients blend and meld their flavors. I would like to know the time and temp here especially because I don't want to melt the butter out of the burger, but I also don't want anything uncooked/have my guests chow down on a chunk of butter.

You've obviously not had the pleasure of eating a good ol' southern hamburger. beef and pieces of white bread, formed into a patty, kinda deep-fried in grease, served on toasted bun with uncooked white onion. the bomb and artery clogging burger all in one. Ordered All The Way, which is diced uncooked onion, mustard, pickles and cheese! It's a burger that you could eat every day, but limit to once a year! They're delish!

I love that episode! I would try that with a nearly lean ground beef (5% fat, just to see if a lean ground beef mixed with compound butter is more flavourful than a regular 80-20. Can u make a Burger Carne asada style. I love your Carne Asada. The Marinade (or also Sauce) would be also a great burger compound. What do you think? Also: Can you tell me which font you use for Hold while he cries a bit 11: 38

I would think that putting a block of refrigerated butter in the middle where the burger needs to come up to temp would be a little counter-productive. I'd probably cube this same butter up into tiny cubes and then just mix it in with the ground meat to make patties. Would distribute it better and not cause the center to be as cold by comparison.

Just love your videos/recipes Sam. You are one of the holy trinity, the others being Chef John and cowboy Kent Rollins. Your recipes are excellent and you are so sweary. Really loved your London video, trying pie, mash and liquor was borderline heroic. Keep up the excellent and sweary work

Sam your right about butter making a huge difference. I used to buy the cheap butter but I started using land I lakes (I'm sure there's better) and it really did make a huge difference. I've made ganja butter but haven't made compound butter that's next

Also, always cook a hamburger ALL THE WAY THROUGH. Burger is NOT like STEAK. Burger gets grinded up and has contact with parasites and germs. The reason you can eat a steak rare is because of the tough outter layer that parasites cannot penetrate.

Love the concept, feel like the butter could maybe be better distributed in the meat. I was thinking freeze the compound butter, grate it, then mix it in the cold meat. Guess I will just have to try it and let you know!
