another option if you wanted indian pasta dish. was sevaya/seviyaan/savaiyaa. Its always been one of my favorites as a child but does use browned vermicelli. If you were making the noodles yourself you could use traditional pasta flour/process over noodle flour/process.

Why not make a sweet mince meat/ground beef? A popular East and Southern African and Middle East way of eating it is to add sultanas and raisins. Ive had this with pasta and its delicious!

My old scout troop my butter noodle biscuits. The noodles essentially dissolve in the dough when they are cooked and it's quite good.
