I've just watched through all of the pass it on videos (in reverse order) and I think I've discovered everyone's place in the kitchen. ben starts a wonderful dish, Barry or Jamie comes in and completely derails it, then Barry or Jamie, whichever is left, comes in and ignores everything and starts something else that's random and so completely outlandish that when mike comes in he spends more than half his time figuring out what is going on, tries to come back, and then James has to come in and fix everything. its perfect

I love this format, and it's honestly amazing how far the boys have come doing this style of challenges. But, I really like how they gave a bit of time before their turn starts to see what is going on and develop a plan. Personally, I think that would be good to work back into these. While the chaos is fun, the point is to make good food and to try to interpret, make a plan, and execute in 10 minutes is very limiting.

What I thought is I would have 10 minutes to plate up.
Oh poor, poor, naive James, that has literally NEVER happened in the history of pass it on that the last person just has to plate up. Its ALWAYS having to salvage whats there into some kind of coherent dish

I say you put each one in a kitchen with the ingredients for one element of a dish or meal, but dont tell them what the dish/meal is. At the end, put all of their items together and see if they got it right or messed the whole thing up. Kind of like Mad Lib Cooking.

Oh oh oh. they could also have random orders and themes to each episode.
Sometimes my genius astounds me.
Edit: Maybe even rate themselves for a bit of improvement in further episodes.

It's fun to go back to the beginning and see where it all started. I think my favorite thing about these Pass It Ons is that it seems genuine and not faked.
