You put em in the fridge because it gives rise to that texture and solidarity in the cookie. I can't cookie scientist explain it but I know it improves the texture. A great tip if you live alone would be to make the 2 hour batch, fridge half the dough overnight, then you get hot cookies one day and hot awesome cookies the next without feeling crap about having to wait for your cookies to fridge up: )

Y'all asking for the 2 day recipe so here is a similar one that takes about 6 hours. 2 boxes of chocolate chips1 pound of dough1 stick of butterCinnamonPowdered sugarWhen baking let it bake for 3-5 hours Yes this will work. It isn't some joke. My Mom made a batch and it tasted AMAZING.

Why didn't he use a glass bowl for combining - as he used it for measurements - instead of a metal one? Is there any solid reason for it, or he just ran out of glass ones?
