the biggest irony to me is that, professional chef kinda despise food processor because they felt unnatural, yeah some saves tons of times but the quality and effort is varied depending on the people. i'm 100% sure pro chef will say manual (hand-made) pasta/meatball and even mincing garlic etc is better to do it hand-made. and 1000% for sure that the food is much better since you know that its perfect or not90% of the time in very high quality restaurant with at least 2 or even 3 michelin star, they do it hand-made on all preparation they do. the only excuse to use machine is when the process of getting an ingredient ready to be prepared is taking long (like food processor for pasta dough, and also the cutting process or blending potato for mash potato, and a lot of other cases to)even in home food, usually 40-60 between machine/hand-made. because usually machine's result is a bit rough (like making sauce or mincing beef etc)

Use two cleavers and just whack a mole the meat really fast. Also your counting for effort forgot how you have to get into those tiny nooks and crannies and then have several things drying on the counter vs just a board, a knife, and a rolling pin, where even a chromium-free knife would at worst just need constant wiping when you're prepping the sauce and then a really serious wipe down when you're done.

Seriously your generation makes me sick when I see how weak you mostly are. Getting tired making a meal. hopefully your generation will be so wore out after cooking that you don't have enough energy left over to eat and you will starve to death. Start doing pushups instead of playing with your phone.

This research is either skewed or flawed (both actually. Hand made wins the final yet loses the overall. Missing another condition: cleaning time lost. You should also pick a winner in each category instead of awarding both points when there is a clear winner. This is the main reason why machine won

Probably should have normal person try this not a whiner. This dude is a privileged wiener who is above GETTING to mince garlic. The difference is cleaning or cooking. Use the equipment you clean more than cook. no equipment, you learn skills more than clean.

I have that same pasta machine and I think he was just going slow with it. I've made it both ways many times and the machine is way easier/faster for me. The Atlas is a beast and can handle if you go quite fast.
