3-Ingredient Chocolate Mousse Vs. 4-Ingredient Chocolate Mousse

3-Ingredient Chocolate Mousse Vs. 4-Ingredient Chocolate Mousse Jessica Ferry: Neither one of these is how you make mousse the first one is bound to be dense as hell and is just a marshmallow ganache. The second one is just chocolate meringue made by someone who forgot to remove the yolks. Mousse is made by whipping cream to stiff peaks and adding a simple chocolate ganache. Chocolate, milk, maybe a little bit of sugar. Mousse is supposed to be light and airy, filled with air bubbles. You shouldnt have to chill it to make it keep its shape. The fact that neither one of these contained any CREAM, not milk, makes them not qualify as mousse.

There is a texture issue with the marshmallow version, it will not be fluffy and light, a little too thick and heavy, where as the real French mousse that is made with eggs and whipped cream has a light, fluffy and creamy texture and a lovely rich chocolate flavor. You really cannot compare. The marshmallow one will be like chocolate flavored marshmallow and you might as well just go to the market and buy chocolate flavored marshmallows.

I have a different 3 ingredient mousse, dark chocolate, butter and egg whites. Melt the chocolate and butter together over a double boiler, set that aside and whip the egg whites to stiff peaks. Fold in the egg whites to the chocolate and butter, pour into cups and set. If you want it sweeter, rain in some sugar as the egg whites are being whipped (which makes it a 4 ingredient)

Not a traditional chocolate mousse. A chocolate mousse (mousse au chocolat in French) doesnt have marshmallows or milk Like seriously my favorite recipe I make since Im like 10 is professional and its delicious. It has eggs and chocolate. Honntement, la premire est une disgrce. The second one is normal but you dont need water or sugar

The easy recipe is done before 1 minute passed in the video while gourmet more than twice that time. This demotivates me so Ill choose easy. Besides, here in my country, poor quality eggs could have salmonella and indirect heat could leave some of them alive. Not gonna risk my fam on that.

Im pretty sure fo a double boiler the water isnt supposed to touch the upper bowl. Its the steam from the water thats supposed to heat it up. Dont know why you couldnt have found a pot that was the right size instead of dividing it with a towel

This is my review for the chocolate mousse egg version. so simple so good so blissfulits just the best mousse I ever made. my family was so happy I was skeptical at first about the egg in it but wow its just so velvety and heavenlyThank you tasty

The eggs in my country arent as safe as the ones in the US and I was wondering if the 4-ingredient recipe was safe for those eggs to be used (the safer ones are more expensive and Im trying to save as much money as possible)

Dear Tasty, love your videos but not this one. Both recipes are not THE mousse au chocolat. Try other 3 ingredients: chocolate, whipped cream, egg whites. If you want the 4st one, try coffee.

I clicked thinking I would have those 3 ingredients on hand in my kitchen but I dont have milk, chocolate chips and marshmallows. I do have eggs but NooOoOo this recipe of course doesnt need eggs.
