Chicken Meatball Soup Vs. Chicken And Dumplings Murl Harmon: What in Sam Hill are you making up there? Chicken and dumplings is a very simple food. Make a stock. Shred chicken. (which you used to make a good stock) Add cream. Make dough strips. (like making biscuits) give it about 10 minutes and boom Chicken and Dumplings Guys. please simple food. not up scale Yankee food versions of a southern classic. (dont get me too wrong, both looked good just the last one was SO NOT chicken and dumplings)

My great-Grandmothers recipe for C&DS starts with boiling a whole chicken to make your own broth, so thats just how you do it; not this chopped chicken breast shortcut. Also, skip the onions and carrots and start your roux with equal parts butter and flour before adding it to the pan (dont skimp on either.

In Delaware, and Im guessing other nearby states, the dumplings I get are usually the flat kind while the ones in the video would be called drop dumplings. I like and make both kinds, but since the flat ones are more common around here, chicken and drop dumplings are a real treat for me.

Sorry tasty, nice try. But down here. dough balls aint called dumplins. Dumplins are rolled out like pie dough and cut into strips. You got good recipes, but put some love into it. Time and effort make all the difference, just like your sad excuse for cobbler. REALLY?

The chicken meatball video might be the best Tasty video Ive watched. The clarity of the shots were wonderful. I think you focused in very well. The colors popped out so nicely. Great shot looking through the glass lid of the pot.

Simple solution. Make both the meatballs and dumplings smaller, cut up (or better yet omit) those huge pieces of swiss chard, and combine the two recipes into one delicious and bountiful soup.

Everyones talking about these being childhood favourites but Ive never had either, Im guessing these arent that much of a British thing

WTF you call those dumplings? Maybe you should invite a Chinese / Japanese chef teach you guys. Heck I think even Rie can teach you guys

Overcrowding that pan in the chicken and dumplings recipe. Cant get color on the chicken because youre poaching it in the liquid.

It is very nice, I like it. I watched Ordinary Peopel Fun Day channel and learned traditional dumpling making method, also very good.
