Not everything you see on TikTok is nonsense. in fact, there are a TON of amazing gardeners on the platform! Today we look at some epic plant tips that'll work pretty well in your garden. Elizabeth: As far as the grocery store basil, just come home and seperate the plant, keeping the roots. Plant each plant in new pots and pop them under a growlight. 8 hours a day full spectrum light. Top leaves will wilt, but leave them until you see new leaf growth. At that point snip off the upper leaves. No need to butcher basil plants like this video

I work in a major greenhouse nursery that produces for big retailers and we use fork to plant our millions of pots every year. We use two 2 tined forks with v shaped slots for smaller plant plugs (basil, parsil, thymus coccineus, etc) and quad-tined aka kitchen forks for larger plants like tomatoes, campanula, etc.

Omg basil! No matter what I do I kill it! Too much water, not enough, not enough light, too much light, looked at it wrong idk how to grow this stuff and my family loves to eat it! Need tips! Would like to be able to grow indoors as I am in northern Canada. Shorter colder growing season.

I do that basil hack in the winter and grow it in a sunny window, cutting what I need for cooking, until spring when I propagate it. That way I have fresh basil in the winter too. Win/win!

Today I just cut the tops off my tomato plants and trimmed them to start new ones since the nights will be in the 30's soon. They will be potted using a wicking method. Wish me luck!

The hack with the onion bulb, will that regrow and produce a viable seed stalk? I may try it to see that way I can make use of my seed onions instead of letting them go.

Now is perfect timing to plant garlic outside, it can withstand cold temperatures very well and it needs it to form bulbs.
If u plant it in spring u get one big toe.

I've done that toilet paper slurry but with a mixture of coconut core and dirt instead of toilet paper. It works great without the mess.

Been missing all the awesome content lately due to nursing school. Had to watch this for a good laugh though! Keep it up Kevin.

11: 15 I prefer to fork the plant but my girlfriend likes your starter trays more because she prefers the finger in the hole.
