Flower bulbs are one of the most magical gardening experiences you can partake in. Plant in the fall, and an explosion of colors pops up throughout Spring. IF you do it right. Today, I'm excited to introduce Briana from Blossom and Branch farm to help us learn how to grow EPIC flowers. She runs a cut flower farm in Denver, CO and plants 4, 000 bulbs every single fall. Julie: Very helpful! I should have a new house in a month or so and am trying to figure out if I can layer spring-blooming bulbs and summer-blooming bulbs together in the same area. I am not finding a lot of information, so perhaps it is a little too ambitious.

A few years ago when I first planted bulbs as a novice my little feelings got hurt when I found out tulips don't really come back haha. I'm working on my crocus lawn each year though. I still plant tulips too just not as many as when I thought they were coming back that first year.

I would LOVE some bulbs from you! I planted some earlier this year, blindly, and learned much later that squirrels/pests dig them up. So, I lost my potential blooms this year. Definitely going to try some of the techniques I m this video for the few I have left!

Zone 3 to 8? What about zone 9? I love my tuips. Having lived in Germany for 7 1/2 years, I remember long train rides from southern Germany through the tulip fields in the Netherlands. Just mile after mile of vibrant strips of color! BREATHTAKING!

My gateway bulb was garlic, and now I'm upgrading to saffron crocus, since they do well in my grow zone without the need for chill hours. It took a month, but the bulbs have finally popped out of the ground: D

I had to move everything in three of my flower beds and lost all all my bulbs. That is the next thing I m hoping to replace in my beds. Great video a lot of great information.

I have to wait until next year to get bulbs in the ground because we have a lot of landscape work and grading to do but I am excited to see what you grow in the meantime!

Trying to decide what bulbs to order. Well, I always procrastinate & don't order.
Maybe it's not too late in Zone 6.
Go to 9: 07 for details.
