I moved to the Epic Homestead in September of 2020 and began the transformation of what was a small house and a sprawling patch of bare dirt. Over the last few years I've absolutely transformed the space, but there's so much more to do! LilAce!: Hey Kevin, I recently discovered pot-in-pot nursery and thought that might be the answer to your dragon fruit container problem. Definitely worth looking into
I'm definitely gonna try it myself for some small citrus trees here in MD (zone 7a/b. Keep them pseudo in-ground (pot-in-pot) during the warmer months then take it back inside during the frost periods.

I love everything you have done, iv been telling people to do that, but I am looked at as the crazy woman. Most say why when I can go buy it at the store. Blows my mind. I figure they don't know how food real food tastes because if they did they would be all about turning their back yards into gardens. Keep up the great work. You have done a fabulous job.

The garden looks great! You ve made great improvements and achieved great success! Congratulations. I m thinking about starting to compost but I have a REAL fear of rodents. Do you have a problem with them invading your compost bins? Would love to hear from others who read this too. Thanks!

I planted a little urban orchid in my backyard as well. I have two apples, two pears, and a cherry. I plan to keep them about 5 to 6 feet so I can reach the fruit.

The progress at the epic homestead has really motivated me this year to rework some areas in my own home. I hope my urban homestead will be as epic as yours

Nice! How do you manage the hungry critters that comes around to take a nibble or two? Perhaps do a short video on critter management?

I planted red veined sorrel on top of my potatoes, the potatoes are now getting bushy and providing shade for the sorrel.
