California Gardening is one of the biggest channels in the gardening space here on YouTube. I've learned SO much from his channel over the years. A few days ago I left a comment on his channel to see if he'd be open to a full tour of the garden, and to my surprise he said. YES! I drove up to his city and we hung out. He's a great guy, and while you WON'T see his face (it's still top-secret, you WILL see his entire garden

I have a massive curry tree in my backyard that we basically do nothing for. It's really almost as tall as my (two storey) house! The last time I harvested from it I actually just reached out of my bathroom window upstairs and grabbed a few stalks lol because it was practically in my window lol. The seeds also grow really, really, really easily--they drop into the space below the mother tree and we basically have a curry seedling jungle in that space because that part of the garden isn't easily accessible for us to clear it.

A footnote. I will bet the farm and two cows from the farm next door that you know who John Jeavons is. I have followed his work for years. well a lady I was dating in Ukiah knew his wife and my friend got me one of his books autographed to me. I think he has been in Willits California for years now. I treasure having an autographed book from one of my heroes. take care.

Such a big difference between Zone 10 in Southern California and Northern California. My average temperature all year is 50 - 55. Fog and overcast. 65 on really hot days. Southern California gets 70 - 80 days, and a lot more sun. I could never grow a pineapple in San Francisco.

Sometimes going into a garden other than being in awe of the beauty of it I walk through and identify plants too. Lol There is usually a wait what's that moment. So neat to know there is always something more to know. Cheers. Thanks for the guided tour

Its a nice garden tour for sure - however I was expecting California native plants. Natives are better for pollinators than any other plant.

About taro: if you eat the leaves, make sure you cook them. they are extremely irritating to your mouth and throat otherwise.

What's the thing hanging from the tangerine tree that looks like a burlap sack with maybe two melon sized spheres in it for?

Great tour Kevin! Wow does he have a wide variety of fruit, herbs, and veggies in a very small space, very impressive.

Do you want to do a video about giant vegetables? I have a giant radish and I have no idea why. or what to do with it.

Nice stir fry there. Will be drying out chillies and put them in used pepper / salt grinders. Simple seasoning.
