Today we're looking at mid-tier LED grow lights in detail. This is a section of the market that's highly competitive as new growers get into hydroponics and indoor gardening handmade: I have a bozily 800 watt led grow light it's got 24 cups with 7 diodes in each the light is advertised as being full spectrum that mimics actual sunlight. They are a bright yellowish. Now my question is when using the lux conversion calculator online that converts lux to ppfd it asks what type of light I'm using. It lists high cri 6500k high cri 4000k low cri 6500 high cri 3500. Monochromatic red Monochromatic blue Monochromatic red blue and Monochromatic red blue and white. Any idea what my light would be considered as?

Nice review for the Mars Hydro MZ-96. My first LED grow coming up and I'm looking at the Mars Hydro MZ-144 or MZ-192 and matching tent straight from Mars Hydro on eBay.
BTW - The plug on top is convenient for growers like me who put the electricity on the ceiling, or high on a wall, for water safety. According to the info they can also daisy chain up to three on a single power lead. Although I don't see the extra daisy chain plug in all the pictures. What's up with that?

I have a question for you man so I have 3 led lights one of the leds has cobs it is 250watt at the wall and the other 2 are just your regular dual chip leds 200watts each at the wall. I'm putting all 3 of them in the same space. how should I spread these lights out so I'm getting a even coverage from the lights? should I put the more powerful led in the middle and the less bright ones on each side of the brighter light? let me know

What I've learned from growing is by keeping the light set to veg state, you can actually trick the plant into growing 'bigger'. Then when you are ready to switch over to the bloom/bud, you flip the lights over which tricks the plant into thinking its time to bud. Also another trick is the times to keep the light on vs off. Longer blue/purple light time, and less red times!

I live in vancouver canada purchased this light from amazon. It came with a bad diode. Called customer support they said there was a repair depot in vancouver. I sent it there. And 2 days later they shipped me a brand new one. They were super apologetic. And now been running it almost 2 year. No problems. Great customer service they even followed up numerous times.

You're supposed to use to bothh lights for flower. its not even an option. Veg needs less light than flower. No need for the bloom during veg. Save money on electric. I have the exact same one. Thinking of getting 2 more because seems the coolest in temperature compared to other LEDs I tried. Need more coverage, I want the electric sky by way to much money.

Thank you for the review. New grower working on a tight budget, i don't want high energy bills. I am using a 1000wt led full spectrum light. Not sure of the brand? It seems to work ok but yields are small. So i have been looking to upgrade to another LED. If there is any other energy saving lights out there please let me know. Thanks.

Im confused. He said at 6: 55 to keep the lights as close to the canopy but still getting full coverage and not getting heat/light burn
Then he says at 8: 25 keep it 20-28 inches away from canopy if your at the seedling stage. So which is it? Get close as possible to the canopy or use the general recommendations u stated?

The inverse square law applies for non reflective surfaces and concentrated light sources. Both are not given in a highly reflective grow tent.
My own measurements in a 2x2 grow tent show, funnily enough and in opposition to your claims, roughly half the light intensity when doubling the light distance from 12' to 24'.

From four seeds on a well managed crop what sort of yield do you think is resenable to be gotten from one of these lights? Some places are saying Watt = 1 gram or Watt +1. 2 Grams but I'm not too sure if that's per plant or per space. i. e. is that the total over all four plants or is it Watt per Gram per plant? ??

So Ive converted my 12x10 back room into a grow room. If I add enough lights even at about 6 and a half ft up, in theory I could grow anything anywhere in the room right? Any help would be appreciated. I've been looking it up but no luck. I mean i'm going to try anyways lol but advice would be great.

Great vid. I used this light for two grows now, veg worked fine but the bloom mode at the correct height in instructions burnt the hell out of my plants both times even when raised higher for the second grow and got minimal buds, really disappointed and will sell it and try another for this winters grow

I have a cheap, light 1000w brand less light, and it's worked fine so far, however, it always spins wherever I hang it, making it practically impossible to get it to hang straight, how do i go about counteracting this and having it stay where I want it to be?

how can one say 450W HID equivalent and mean by it that it acts like 250W HID, that makes no sesne if its 450W EQ, then it acts like 450W HID, but it doesnt, more like 250W as said so im not saying video is missleading im talking about their labels
