Mars Hydro TS 1000: A Surprisingly Good Grow Light For The $

Mars Hydro hit me up again to take look at one of their newer grow lights, the Mars Hydro TS 1000. It's a very bare bones LED grow light from Mars that comes in around the $120 mark depending where you get it, and for that price you get a shockingly good umol/J. Overall, it's a buy for a budget grow led grow light for beginners. If you're looking for maximum yield and price is no object, then I would recommend a higher-tier grow light. But if you're getting started, it's a fantastic light

This light converted me to led's. I was growing in an insulated outdoor shed, with HID lights and even with air-conditioning it was getting too hot on some days in the summer, so I bought one of these, to keep the heat down, and the plants loved it, and so did I. Unlike a lot of led lights this uses a spectrum that is like sunlight, so you don't need special glass's to look at your plants. There is nothing fancy about this light, and you don't need fancy, you need it to do it's job, which it did very well, and it's cheap enough that you can replace it every couple of years. For the money it's a good light, and my next one will be their 2000 watt one. I've tried other led lights before, and they all sucked because of the light color making it hard to see if anything was wrong with your plants. This works just as well as HID lamps without the heat, and you don't have to change lights for growth to flower. So don't let it's cheap appearance, and price fool you; this light is a workhorse. Good job Mars.

Thanks for your video share. For your 2 cons points, allow us to explain here. 1. It's the thickest 1. 0 aluminum reflector, for reflecting light from canopy to plants and dissipating heat. According to our tests, this design increase 20% par value, higher efficiency. 2. It's newest SMD chip tech with ETL certificate, 100% safe. no cover/protection over the chip, no light loss and less heat. If there is glass cover like before, 10% light waste at least.

They run 150 watts by the way everyone you can even test this by a voltage meter. It has a great umol and par put out. Use the right environment with good soil and all organic nutrients and you can get 5oz out of a 3 gal pot on up. Just use coco, powdered perlite, worm castings and Powdered Gaia green 444 and 284.

Solid review man! Any idea what the recommended distance from light to plants is? Or how intense you should keep light at? I have two of these bad boys in a 4x4 but light seems kind of intense at full power. Thanks!

Any reason why my Ts1000 doesn't have as many of those red lights throughout the lighting? I have the newer version of it, so maybe that's why? Just worried it might be malfunctioning. Any help please!

I certainly like mine in a 2x4 footprint with some low watt supplemental lighting on either side. Looking into a lm301B quantum board at the moment. 240W seems about perfect for a 3x3 Scrog. Thanks man!

I've been so curious about this grow light/set up. I have 2 2ft t5 ballasts and 2 4ft t5 ballasts along with a full spectrum led and I'm looking to try out some more really soon. Thanks for sharing!

How does it effect the heat within a grow tent? I have an older LED light with fans and gets to around 34C with exhaust. Its also a Blurple, but need lower temps from light. Thanks. Merry Christmas

Company sold a used product and attempted to not take it back. Covered in dirt, overspray, chips, and in general I was shocked as it looked 10 years old. I would avoid this company all together

just growing veggie seedlings. Mars TS1000 vs LEDtonics Z5 and Mars TS600 vs LEDtonic Z2. Don't need anything crazy, just want great value and to get plants started off right. Thoughts? 6.

How many of these would you recommend in 1. 2m x 1. 2m x 2m tent I'm looking for max yield ideally I'd like 25 - 27 ounces from 9 plants my 1st time with leds I normally use HPS lights

Dont buy, the light doesnt turn all the way off and when I contacted them, they told me to rewire a power strip. Lol crazy they would even suggest that. Go with a different brand.

That light is fake, these replicas are all over Ebay for less $. Mars TS has the Mars Hydro Logo written on the inside of the LED, plus an adhesive sticker on the frame panel.
