Grab some Epic Gardening Stickers: We're back with another Blossom reaction video and honestly. it's. not bad? What's happening? Am I losing my mind? Original video Michael: An interesting tip for plants in desperate need of calcium I use is to burn several thousand pulverized eggshells and immediately place into enough vinegar to cover when it stops reacting add more vinegar until it ultimately stops reacting all together strain eggshells out and reduce the volume of the calcium acetate solution over low heat. This concentrate can be diluted with water in a spray bottle and applied as a foliar spray, especially useful for acid loving plants as you're not adding alkaline calcium carbonate to the soil to break down.

i watched bloom once never laughed so hard in hole life they just pump out dozens of videos to make money from views 99% of their tips of bogus, the one i get a kick out of is everyone planting a tomato slice and then a miracle LOOK IT GREW plants cut the tomato save the seed eat tomato lol ferment seeds to remove the gel coating then plant the seeds. soaking a banana does not remove the potassium in enough quantity to be useful unless you let it decompose completely in the water then you have a fowl smelly mess just use a compost bin.

I normally agree with you on everything in these, not today though. With blossom's suggested technique of propagating succulents by poking leaves through film over a glass of water (2: 35. I can't at all agree that they're over complicating it and it's better just to mist the leaves on some soil every few days instead. When I do that I get very low success rates, under 50%. But I've been doing the film over a glass of water trick for a short while now and I've had a 100% success rate out of the dozen or so leaves I've tried it on.

I do have to say, the succulent water propagation method is actually really good. I do agree its overcomplicated as propagating them is as simple and putting the leaf on some medium and misting daily. BUT, I've done both methods many times, and I find the water-prop method will show signs of root/plant growth in about half the time as the regular method.
I usually use water-prop just to get the roots out, and once there's roots move it to a substrate

Just a random question; When I use paper towel to germinate seeds, i always rinse out the paper towel with hot water first, squeeze out all of the water, then use fresh water to re-moisturize the paper towel, and then place seeds in. I do this because i assume there are some chemicals or something in paper towel, am i correct in assuming this or is it unecessary to rinse out the paper towels first?

hello from the philippines, kevin. i actually grew my mango tree, the apple mango variety by planting the seed in soil right after i ate it. believe it or not i harvested from it after only 5 years. fruits is palm sized and very sweet although when it's over ripen, the middle part/seed tends to get husky. i planted it 2009 and 2014 it started to bear fruits up to now. love your videos

Actually, here in Mexico, when the variety of giant mangos (Kents) were available in stores to eat, there were many of us doing this, only we just put them in the ground, you are correct the tree is fast growing, and I will tell you we got the giant mangos it was awesome. Problem was, here they needed lots of water and we have water problems here. This was years ago of course.

I am a67 year old pensioner with a limited budget, so I am growing trees from cuttings that i get for free. Currently Mulberry, Fig, Lemon, Guava trees and hopefully soon a loquart tree. I use hacks to regrow veggies or get free seeds. Time is not a factor, my kids can eat the fruit if i kick the bucket unless I am using the bucket for growing something.

You can use paper or cardboard egg cartons as fire starters, just take saw dust or tiny wood shavings and add liquid microwave wax or liquid bees wax with a small wick (weve just used a stick the size of a finger) let the wax harden and badaboom you have a relatively cheap fire starter.

He said roots are not going through egg box. But if u use it for seeding, ppl then just cut the part with green part shown and replace it into bigger pot. The eggbox part will brake later as natural compost. Just before replacement u need to make holes in the bottom.

You are just a hater hoping to maximise your profits from hating. There is more than one way to skin a cat, and some of these ideas might be relevant depending on the environment and other limitations. You are just an Epic hater. No one asked you. I certainly didn't.

Water propagation for the succulents my brother is really into it once you've done it the roots that grow typically can only survive in water and then you can have a succulent that is kinda like a water plant and grows in a water filled vase

If you like corn, buy cheap popping corn and just dump a pack in a soil plot, rake it in, and you get loads of baby corn for stir fry. Yum. So so so cheap. It works in the UK and you chop the plants into the soil as a green manure.

in regards to the bananas, we did a banana and a citrus mix and works well on younger plants, but yes is little time consuming, we have just done watermelon to see what that will do. probably nothing but will see hahaha.

Only comment I have is for the mushrooms, doesn't need nearly that much but mycelium will grow from several parts of the mushroom tissue, not just spores. Kind of like sprouting roots from a cutting instead of the pants seeds.
