I feel like we're doing this together! This year I'm finally able to work on my garden, we moved into a new house with a big plot when I was pregnant and I couldn't get anything done then but now the baby is big enough to play in the yard while I work so I'm trying to get everything set up. I've got a lot of the same things in my yard, Greenstalks, pile of cardboard boxes, pile of mulch in the driveway, a bunch of plants in various stages all over the yard. :D I enjoy see what you do! P. S. I'm also in SoCal!

Your so lucky to have such a beautiful space. After what has been going on this past yr I am trying to turn my small yard into a garden. l have spent the last month cutting out old bushes and digging things up. Am almost done building a raised bed, and since I don't have a lot of money have been picking up a few boards here and there. Probably won't last long but even if its a couple yrs its ok. I'm living on SS now, since I had to quit work and was not going to pay the high prices on wood.

I have a small place where I garden and raise chickens. We are in similar climates only mine is crazy humid in South Mississippi. I'd like to see more of your orchard progress and also how you control pests. I like learning to grow things I've never grown before, the odd edibles that aren't staples of the garden because I try to grow one or two of those per year. This year it's artichoke and amaranth. Fingers Crossed! I'd like to say thank you for being such a wonderful resource!

Kevin, so happy to see your new home and garden. I so appreciate your enthusiasm for gardening, you get me fired up to go outside and start digging. I'm glad you are going to show us how to plant and work with flowers. The level of joy you get from eatables is the same level of joy I get from beautiful flowers. For the life of me I cannot seem to grow baby's breath. Any hints would be greatly appreciated. Looking forward to another year with you.

I've been gardening to keep me busy and also thinking of gardening as a profession in the future, maybe you could make a video about the finances/future of gardening from a year to a yard full of money? how to sell where to sell, the legalities of the business. things like that and such. same kind of thing of looking for a purpose in life and I'm having a hard time creating a long time goal without finances.

Can you do a video on how to dig through palm tree roots to get to the soil below? We moved into a house where the previous owner planted a row of date palms 30+ years ago and we want to try growing some fruit trees in-between the palms if we can! Any help would be appreciated! Love your videos, and I just bought some raised beds for my veggies super excited about the birdies! #epicgardening epicgardening

Don't take this in a negative manner. but you might want to consult a landscape designer for overall design ideas. You want it to look good from the street and you don't want to be the neighbor that everyone hates because his yard is just jungle. that's a beautiful Rose Arbor you are going to have, I suggest putting it near a front gate instead of the middle of your front yard as you have it now

Would you mind going over graphted fruit trees? My wife and I are interested in them but we really have no idea of the pros and cons. It's just the two us and have no real need for an entire orchard of different fruit trees.
Also would a soil test be able to pick up contaminates? I wanna grow in ground but I feel like the previous owner might have sprayed a lot of different pesticides.

I do have a question. I'm looking to make a cattle panel trellis for cucumbers. First off will that be good for cukes? I was going to use 6 buckets, 3 on each side, holes drilled around the circumference for each, rock laid in bottom for drainage. I'm using buckets because of the high population of rabbits. Should I also use chicken wire or will 5 gallon buckets be tall enough?

So very happy for you! Your very own homestead! Prayers and best wishes for you and yours. Love the heavy duty starter cells I bought from you. Looking forward to buying deep heavy duty trays from you if you carry them. Darling Folks, the heavy duty seedling starter cells are totally luxurious sports cars for your seeds.

I think it's so profound that you mentioned that 2020 was the beat year for you because of your gardening and building your homestead. What you are doing is how we get back to normal. I see nothing but possibility when I look into my family's future. Keep it up because you're doing great kid.

Congratulations Buddy on your new Garden of Kevin. I appreciate the time you took to make this vid. Check out Self Sufficient Me. He did an excellent Tube on his 12 year Birdie beds and how great they are. Good insight for you as their distributor. Anyway, happy gardening.
