Another great video! Btw, I decided to hand water all of my 10 tomatoes (all in containers) this year shooting for once a week to avoid over-watering as I had horrible blossom end rot last year. I have a drip system that covers everything 360 degrees, but I am concerned that may have caused the over watering issue last year. Now that my tomatoes are growing bigger & bigger, I check each one with a moisture meter and find I need to water them at least 2 x week (for now. How much water does each plant need with drip? 1/2 gal, 1 gal? I live in zone 10b in the Bay Area.

What I don't really understand is how to REALLY induce pollenate using brushes. My tomatoes' flowers have all started to wilt. 2 weeks ago they were all abloom, and there were tons of videos showing tips on pollenating with electric brushes. I used a good paintbrush I could use for watercolor painting. But there I go, still no tomatoes for me: (

There's so much confusion online some say feed from seedlings second leaves some say feed at first then everyone week some say feed every 2-weeks some say feed when it's fruiting so bloody annoying. watched another video he says he never ever feed tom plants until the first buds/flowers and he's been growing for 30 years. soooo confusing

Hello I hope I can ask you a question. So I have this tomato plant and its seems to be doing well and has started its first tomato. The tripe of tomato's is beef steak and its really heavy even when the soil is dry and need water. Is there any advice you can give me as to why his is or what I may have done to cause this?

My tomato tree looks very tall and beautiful but im new to growing plants but so far so good. Im not sure if my plant will give me tomatoes because i don't see flowers. I learned with you that my plant is an indeterminate. Which signs do i look for to know if I'll get tomatoes?

How do your tomatoes do, when it rains alot? Here in northern Switzerland, we had 2 weeks of constant rain.
We have 2 small green houses, but i always wondered, if its possible to have a good yield, without a roof.
Nice Video!

I swear tomatoes are my favorite thing to grow but they are such a fussy girl. Yet as fussy as I find them, I grow them every year.
This year I'm going to try growing them indoors in my kitchen over the winter too.

Is it okay if I didnt cut off my first flowers off my tomato plants? A colleague told me I should have but I didnt and all my plants now have 5-10 flowers on them, are all pretty tall. Zone 5b Maine here if that helps.

I had a big problem with souther blight last year. It killed all my pepper plants. So this year I pruned all the lower leaves just like you did to your tomato plants. This year all my plants look very healthy.

So let's say I didn't buy my tomato seeds but used some from store bought cherry tomatoes that accidentally germinated. How can I determine if my plant is an determined plant or an indeterminate plant?

I have learned so much from you, Kevin. It's wonderful to keep up with your journey from the urban garden to this homestead. Thank you for your videos. They are entertaining and very educational!

I have seen some conflicting advice on the internet and I was wondering if you could share your expertise on this. Pinching off the buds. Should we do that at all or let the buds turn into flowers?

This year is all about the (roma) tomato for me.
All other vegetables can do nothing, and I won't take it personal.
Although, I'm not going to lie, I do appreciate my ornamental plants.

How can I recover my raised garden containers from too much water? My pepper plants, tomatoes and zucchini are suffering? Is there anything I can do to help the beds dry out?

So the tomato actually comes from the pollination? So the seed basically?
What are the flowering triggers for tomatoes. Is it a light cycle or auto flowering from age?
