Starting Flower Seeds w/ Benjamin! (Snapdragons, Dahlias, Columbine & Love in a Puff) Amanda: I have my seeds started inside, I have triplet 2 year old boys so as you know I have 6 very curious hands so I bought 2 of those small greenhouses basically for the protection from my kids then added grow lights. Anyways I see you use the oscillating fan to strengthen the stems, can I unzip the fronts and place a fan in front of then at night only then zip it back up when the kids are awake all day or will that not be enough to actually do any good?

OK, so Benjamin is the cutest! This is my first time starting seeds indoor and I pulled in my 2. 5 year old daughter to help too! She is a great mister: ) Question - the vermiculite you use looks like little white rocks, but the kind I got from the garden center looks more like sand. It says it is the Espoma vermiculite in the red bag, but do they have different kinds or does yours just look different on camera?

I love watching your videos! I have been watching for a few years and have learned so much and have gotten so much inspiration from your videos! Last year I started a few seeds indoors and this year have tried starting more. I have noticed though that in some of my trays I have mold growing on the surface of my soil? What can I do to prevent this? Would vermiculite prevent this?

Maybe you already know this but I thought Id mention it just in case! The love in a puffs put off sooooo many seeds. When the puff turns brown, open it and three new seeds will be inside each puff with their own little heart on the seed itself. It was such a cool discovery last summer.

Question about starting seeds this early: Do the seedlings not get leggy? I planted mine at a bright window and they germinated beautifully but got leggy real quick and I'm torn right now between discarding the seedlings and starting over or just crossing my fingers and hoping for the best

My 5 year old granddaughter likes watching you. But add Benjamin and that was a winner for her. She is already to plant some seeds like him. My love of plants was developed in my grandfather's greenhouse. Passing it to future generations is so important.

Loved this video! Did anybody scold you for lifting Benjamin into the wagon in the barn? Just curious. Be careful! You are such a wonderful mama! I had 3 c sections and always hated the 6 weeks of being told not to lift this or that.

Question: The Dahlia seeds: Will the Dahlias that grow from seed produce tubers that you can dig up and re-plant the following year? Or is it a situation where they are treated as a true annual and just get new seeds each year?
