Looking at YOUR Amazing Containers (Part 2! Garden Answer Tobhiyah: Am I the only one that sings it's electric boogie-woogie Woogie every time she says it's electric? Caladiums. they are so awesome, and I have killed every single one I have ever had and I am so sad. What the heck am I doing wrong? They're tropical so I use topical soil that's well draining & moist, but I think I end up rotting all of my corms. Will you please do a special episode about them and plants like them so I might actually have a successful planter this year? Speaking of planters, be still my beating heart, Alfia's planter from British Columbia is one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen in my life! I am absolutely going to try to re-create that under out front entryway patio this year. It belongs on the cover of a magazine! I'm also going to try the Moon garden combo from Jessica in Minnesota if I can learn how to grow caladiums. It's absolutely stunning and would look perfect in a north facing darker corner where it would just light up.

I also live in high hot desert! My tip for keeping the Tuts from browning is to bury a container like a plastic bucket in the container with the top at soil level or slightly above so it doesn't fill with soil. Then leave Tut in his nursery pot or repot in one size larger. Stick that nursery pot in the bucket. Then you can retain a water reservoir in the bucket for Tut without over-watering the other plants in your container.

When you set up the pond-less waterfall again, you should do a small spot where you can grow things like prince tut and other plants that really love water. You could do annuals and switch it up every year. Or do a secret water feature in the area where you a going to put in the pallet walk way. See if you can hide it from the grass walkway, so you have to go further in to see it, but can still hear it.

Laura when you build your water feature simply add your Prince Tut right in the water my Prince Tut is in my garden pond and it actually last through the winter - even if I get ice on the pond as long as the roots are in the water it comes back in the Spring! I am zone 8 though.

I am behind a month of GA videos! Life got super busy and I enjoy watching when everything is still and I can thoroughly watch and take in everything shown or done. So this was a great video to restart my daily viewing!

I would love a video on ideas for shallow bowl type containers. I have 2 large shallow cement bowls that sit on wing walls of a fireplace and still havent found the perfect mix of plants for this full sun area
