Waterwise Drip Irrigation System Garden Answer arweston2: I am setting up my first kit, plan to get another for the front of the house. a few things Ive run into. I am running drip to a couple of hay rack planters that get nearly full shade because they are on the back of the house that is usually shaded from the wall. never gets rain due to being under the overhang of the house, and also the ground planters close by that get a little bit of morning sun, none of these will need a ton of water. Im also running from there to some full sun planters on the sunny side of the patio and these plants will need much more water and dry out much faster. Should I just put more emitters on these and less in the others? Also, are there standard pieces that go with the 1/4 irrigation tubing if I run out of parts? And anything to cap off the ends?

can you do an update on your orbit timer? i've seen several negative reviews for it online that it breaks/leaks after a few months to a year, causes water hammer (it looks like you don't use an adjuster or pressure regulator, or sometimes the valves fail. have you ever used another brand of water timer? after reading so many negative reviews for orbit, im thinking of trying out melnor. i was surprised you went with a 2 port model and not a 3 or 4 port considering you have a larger gardening space than most people. i've also seen some people fertilize their plants through a filter attachment, have you ever done that? or do you prefer spot fertilizing?

I bought two kits and cannot give them a positive review. The caps do not stay on, even with the water at its lowest pressure. They shoot off and fast waters, and then the others do not drip at all because there is no pressure. I tried burying them, but one would still shoot off a cap piece. If I take all those caps off and just go for a quick water, the ones closest to the tap work but the others do not because of no pressure. Also, no matter how tight I have the tap connector, it is spewing water, I guess because the pressure is too high even though the water is barely on. This was a waste of $70.

Dexter has, as always, managed to sneakily appear in this video. He is adorable!
Also I love the idea of the system, sice I just have, once again, been eaten by mosquitos. That alwas happens watering in the evening when the sun goes down. The great thing about the system is that you don't burn your laves, even though waterin in the middle of the afternoon.

I love you! :) thanks for sharing all your ideas you have an amazing green thumb. I live in Vegas and it's so hot out here, I love succulents and cactus but all my succulents constantly die! You have such a lush beautiful back yard, I love it! It would be so awesome if you could give ideas on desert landscaping?

How many water hose nozzles do you have? My property only has two for the entire property and I cannot understand how you are able to attach all the drip hoses around your gardens and still have an actual working water hose. How is this done. it is a burning question for me?

New to gardening. I always thought I would have to manually water, so I NEVER considered making garden beds or containers. Thank you for sharing. I've got some planning to do! Thank you for sharing. I'm guessing this would work for the garden beds as well?

Thank you so much. Your videos gave us the confidence to retro fit a drip system to our irrigation system in our front beds. You are slowly teaching what I need to know to turn my black thumb into a light shade a green. :-)

I've been wanting to do something just like this! The linked page for the waterworks system is out of stock, it doesn't list if it's being restocked. :(
Someone in the comments listed Amazon as having it!

Wish Proven Winners would ship to PR! Have seen so many beautiful plants and useful gardening tools from their website but they only ship to 48 states. Wish I could buy this! Loved the tutorial!
