Cleaning Up a Recent Antique Find & Repotting Houseplants/Daffodils! Garden Answer punya09: The motiom sensor lights in the cabinet are working just as they should. They're triggered by motion plus a certain level of darkness. I have a couple in my home (not the same brand but kind of the same thing, no issues lighting up when it's dark. I think if the inside of the cabinet was still wrapped in that black vinyl ) they'd probably still turn on in daytime. But now it's too bright being white and the sunlight reflecting off the walls whenever the cabinet is opened. Guessing manually switch-on rechargeable (or battery operated) lights would be much better for Laura's purpose.

I love the daffodils. They were my Dad's favorite flower. As a matter of fact they were the only flowers in the front yard and only roses in the back yard. My parents were not big on landscaping. My mom was hardly ever outside. have to save that fair skin haha. But my Mom did plant a Magnolia tree in the backyard and (what we called) a China berry tree in the front yard. The two messiest trees in the south possibly. And of course we had the old sweet gum tree and mimosa tree also. Plenty if raking for us kids.

Aawww Samantha's so precious and blowing kisses! Those daffodils are a happy sight. What I understand of fungus gnats is they thrive on moist soil with organic mayter, where they lay their eggs. Laying a layer of gravel/rock helps deter the cycle and not overwatering. I love moss as topp dress a few gnats won't keep me from using it. Your antique finds look lovely in your home Laura. Thanks for sharing.

Laura- ONLY you could clean a very dirty piece of furniture, use Old English dark stain cover, and then paint and stay PERFECTLY clean with a white top on. I admire you for a million real reasons- but how you manage to always stay clean, your hair loose-but never in the way, etc, etc, is amazing! You are a magic fairy.

Laura, I absolutely love how you are able to see the beauty and value of antiques. Although it took a little elbow grease on your part (we all know that you are not afraid of hard work, your cabinet turned out beautifully! Thank you for being such an inspiration for us, and we love your beauty, inside and out!

I love watching the way you adjust when a project isnt going the way you expected. You dont show any frustration, its just, well, that wasnt going to work, so this is what I did instead. Just some life lessons from Laura that you probably dont even realize youre teaching.

That is an adorable little cabinet. I think those might be considered an embroidery or handwork cabinet. It has the sewing machine drawers on the left side. It turned out so cute! Love those lights and hope they'll decide to all turn on when the cabinet opens. How clever.

You might try putting lights on side rather the bottom of shelves. I have one of these lights in the broom closet and it comes on every time mounted on side. Don't have any electric outlets to help out either. Good Luck. Samantha Grace is really growing.

I am so happy to have a glimpse inside your beautiful home. Its so cosy and warm. I love it. The little cabinet looks so nice with the pretty fabric back. I never would have thought of that. I enjoyed ALL of this video, including sweet Samantha!

I love the fabric at the back of this cabinet! And how brilliant to make the exact right size hole using the plastic pot the plant came in - I will remember that one! And the lamp is perfect. Nice job!
