Today I'm seeding more flowers for fall flowers! I'll walk you through how to know what you can still seed in late July for blooms this year Margery: I love growing cut flowers in my allotment in England and succession planting is something I need to master so thanks for the advice. I want to go and look at the back of my seed packets now to see what I might sow! You mentioned an earwig on your sunflowers and that's something I'd like your advice about please. How do you ensure your bouquets are bug free. That's one worry I have, that it might put people off my flowers if they find wildlife in them. I'm already looking forward to your next video. Thankyou

July 26th, I turned 63 that day. I've found you to be so inspirational for having a cut flower garden to share the beauty. If I were 40 yrs younger I'd be all over having acreage for flower farming, but having my landscape as the farm is such a great idea, Thank you. Your gardens are always just beautiful, and the info is always helpful. Beginner gardeners should be binge watching you. Lastly it's great to see Rocky looking healthy.

Danielle, thank you for the informative video. I was pondering if I should go for pro cuts sunflowers or if it is too late and your video answered the question. One request - at some point could you do a video on trellises that you use for different flowers? I see similar ones in your garden and in Longwood (which I frequent and am forever hoping to run into you there: -) but would like to know more. Thank you!

Danielle! Loving the updates! Thanks I definitely wanted to see how the succession planting with sunflowers was going. I do want to know if you could please let me know if you harvest your Benary-s giant zinnia seeds or queen series zinnias for next years season. Thanks! I appreciate it! I just don-t know if I should try to do that or just buy new seeds from Johnnys next year.

Great video! Keep in mind that when planting after summer solstice, you have to add a week or two to the days to maturity to account for decreasing sun angle and slower growth rates of late summer and fall. Days to maturity on seed packets are calculated based on spring planting and the increase of sun exposure rather than the decreasing sun exposure of late summer and fall.

I love how you show you don't need fancy store-bought fertilizers to grow beautiful plants. The best thing for your soil and plants is compost. Better for the environment and soil structure plus is it so budget-friendly! I don't have a flower stand but I do succession sow flowers just so I have beauty coming into bloom until the first freeze.

Long time- The Olympic Games are being held in Japan. It's already summer. Olympic bouquet of sunflowers. it's cute. -
Sunflower's love word is to stare at you. I think that deserves the Olympics. May many sunflowers bloom at the Olympics. -
We would like to thank the American mass media for their interest in bouquets.

In order to keep the gladiolus do you need to let them die back before digging the bulbs? How will your mother care for the glads that you give her? Thank you for your fall succession planting videos. I need to do more with succession planting! I seem to have a hard time turning over a bed that still has a few flowers in it.

Hey Danielle, you rock lady. I have learned so much about flower farming from you this year! Super excited about seeding cosmos and pro cut sunflowers tomorrow! Fingers crossed I can still find the seeds. I thought I was too late for direct seeding any flowers. Going to be filling in bare spots in my flower beds tomorrow!

Great update on the status of your garden! Everything is just beautiful this time of year. I like the way you use netting or fencing over the top of some of the beds to keep the flowers straight when they grow. Is that netting, or do you cut pieces of fencing? It's hard to tell in the video. Thank you!

Such a helpful video. Just one complaint. why aren't you in zone 8? So I could just treat your videos as a gardener's almanac and follow your planting times. Jokes aside, please do succession planting videos whenever you can as they'll keep us inspired to go and plant some more.

Good morning Danielle! Haven't watched the video yet but I'm sure it's going to be a great one! I'm having an issue with all my sf heads drooping. I'm having an issue putting them in bouquets because their heads are hanging so low/ heavy. Do you have any tips for this?

What resource do you use to determine your frost dates. I tried googling mine for zone 7a and the answer I was coming up with was October 1. But since I'm in a warmer zone than you (northern Virginia, wouldn't it make sense for my frost date to be later than yours?

Beautiful. Great calculating on when to plant succession, I'm sure you've had lots of practice. I wish it were that easy to dig into my dirt. Ugh. I would have so much more going on here. Do not move to a land full of rocks you will hate it.

That heat is no joke! We-re breaking 100 with high humidity today. Heat index advisories in effect. Today is my local farmers market, but, as we all know, cut flowers don-t do well in those conditions so I have to skip this week

Good morning! I was hoping you could tell me how far apart did you space the sunflower seeds and will you thin them out? I-m working in a 20ft by 30ft space for all my cut flowers so I-m always trying to utilize my space better

The garden is looking amazing and what a deal on that beautiful hydrangea! Where did you find your watering can? It-s been so hot and humid here to so I work outside till I can no longer take it then in the shower. Lol

I planted close to 200 zinnias this spring, and now that they are blooming profusely, they have developed powdery mildew. Is there anything you can recommend to get rid of powdery mildew or to keep it from spreading?
