Today I'm sharing about Rocky's return to our flower farm. We will be planting out coral zinnias starts, seeding fall color, and harvesting starflower pods for drying. The best part is that we receive an unexpected visit from a hummingbird during harvest today! Please note that I spelled Benary wrong on the screen. There is no R. Here is a link

Cats love to drink small amounts of water from different places. I have cats, and we have 8 water bowl in different rooms of the house and 4 in the cats tree room, and they use to drink water from a different bowl each time. Is like they instinctively try drink small amounts from different places just in case water was spoiled. I read an article about that somewhere in internet. Maybe it's can helps Rocky.
When my cat was in a recovery process a can Hills A/D helped a lot. Vet gives me a needleless syringe, so I was able to battle against dehydration and prenvent lipidosis conditions.
Hope it helps.

I was trying to find your older videos wanting to see the progression of your garden when this video played. I am glad you got back your pet Rocky. I lost my dog Teddie last year due to liver problems. I did everything I can to save him even took him to the pet hospital but I still lost him. Its so hard to lose a pet especially if you treat your pet like family. Anyways, I am going to watch all your videos from the very start because I want to make a garden than I can say it's mine. I am in the process of moving to a cute house with a good size back yard.

Love those bright gladiolas, so pretty. So happy your kitty, Rocky, is home. He looks happy about that too. Your flowers are so lovely. I would totally buy bouquets from you. Here in IL, we have lots of shade, with some pockets of sun. I try to learn from you, so I can have more bouquets. Flowers make me happy! How do you condition your hydrangeas for bouquets? Sometimes mine do well, and other times they wilt. Also how do you dry them? Thanks so much!

So happy Rocky is back. pretty amazing. Harvesting for the florist video sounds awesome!
Also a question for you, do you find that having Outdoor cats affects how many birds you have in your garden. I have a little bit of a vole problem And have always wanted an outdoor cat, but we have a lot of birdfeeders and tons of birds on our property and my husband thinks that we wouldn-t if we had cats.

Love, love, love your how to videos on planting from seed, planting in the ground, pruning, harvesting and conditioning especially! I have learned more from you in the last six months than I thought was possible. I really appreciate the effort you put in to these podcasts. I am only growing flowers for my own use and to occasionally brighten someone else-s day. You are such an encouragement!

God has blessed you with finding Rocky. Im so sorry this happened to him but now that you are aware of his wandering ways. baby him all you can. I found my Jimmy cat in the gym parking lot 2 years ago. I will never let him out or he wouldnt last very long around here in NC with our coyote populations. Your videos are wonderful and I so appreciate your sharing with us. Robin in NC

I think that voice-over video sounds interesting. I mostly wanted to share that I am so happy you got your baby back. My cat went missing for 2 years and then one day I saw him sitting in my neighbor's window. Her mind was not quite right and she had him in your house the entire time. He was happy and fat when I found him but I still took him home as he was mine and I loved him.

Please please do a detailed video for harvesting for florists! I-ve been selling at the farmers market but have been too nervous to bring anything to my florists because I-m worried about length, less than perfect blooms, stripping lower leaves or not, pricing stems or bundles, etc, and on and on- lol! Any help or advice would be hugely appreciated! Thanks in advance!

I just had a bout with my kitty where she got sick dehydrated and thin over a few days. Vet did the same as yours iv etc. I found she didn't want to drink because she was nauseated. You can buy packets of cat gravy. Its basically liquid in a pouch. That and kitten food did the trick. She could eat just a little to feel better and eventually stated chugging water.

My cat Tom was trapped in a shed or building for 3 weeks so he had no food. When he came home he wouldn't eat and the vet gave him something to cause him to have an appetite. I can't remember if it was a pill or shot but it worked and he started eating.
I'm so very happy you found him. Social media is really helpful for lost pets.

I'm really happy to hear you have Rocky back. My garden shadow helps out all the time -. -
My gardens haven't amounted to much this yr, I think maybe our nighttime temps are a bit cool, I'm on Maryland's eastern shore and it's still gets down to the low 70's. Add little rain to the mix and it's been a disappointing yr so far =-\

YAY Rocky! I-m so glad that your mind can be at ease now. Would definitely love a video on selling to florists. I struggle figuring out what to charge them. If you think it-s appropriate and don-t mind, maybe you could share any resources you use to determine that price point? Thank you Danielle!

Yes! Yes to ALL of the cut flower -how-to- planting, harvesting and selling. I always learn so much. I enjoy seeing your garden mature throughout the year. I am seriously considering your method of incorporating cut flowers into the beds for a prettier, more natural use of space! Love your videos!

As a cat owner who has rescued several kitties that were dropped off near our home over the years, I am so glad that your Rocky is now back at home with you. He's super cute! I love your gardens and farm stand! Right now is an amazing time in my flower garden as well. I always enjoy your videos!

Would love to see the bucket/florist harvest with voiceover. So happy for Rocky's return! It's quite obvious how grateful he is. Love the simplicity of your farm process. BTW, if I wore flip-flops the mosquitoes would make a feast of my feet! I don't know how you do that but glad you can. :-)

Hi Danielle, So happy to hear that Rocky has returned -Just a suggestion my nephew-s cat really wasn-t drinking that much water from a bowl so they did some research and got him a kitty fountain. He loves it and drinks plenty of water -more than he ever drank before.

Oh Danielle, Rocky-s story made me tear up. It was obvious in your voice how much you love him & were concerned. Very glad he is back - praying for his continued recovery. He is lucky to have you. Ok now, back to the video for succession planting: -.

We lost our cat this past spring when she ran into the road (which she has never done before and was terrified of cars) and it was super sad for a long time. It makes me so glad that you at least had a happy ending and you have your little sidekick back.

GET A PET FOUNTAIN! They work - takes a few days but they will drink-it-s a blessing he-s home. Please check his liver, kidney and biome.
Poor baby- also check for FIV
Maybe he drank some bad water- sweet boy!
He-s so gorgeou!

So glad you got your kitty back! I just set out zinnias this weekend ahead of rain and a couple of cloudy days. It's muggy here in north Mississippi, but we can't complain about the heat this summer, so far. I'm afraid of what August will bring!
