Today we'll make a dahlia wreath using dried and fresh dahlias, plant bearded iris rhizomes, and save zinnia seeds! Sue: I saved some Edwardian zinnia seeds this year. I planted them in window boxes on my deck and just loved them. But they are sold in packets where you only get 25 seeds and very few companies stock them. So I thought I'd try to save my own. I got over 25 seeds just from one flower!

Hi Danielle. If you really want to up your game in flower drying, invest in some silica gel crystals. Dahlias dry so beautifully in silica gel, as long as the blooms are dry when you begin the process. Harvest the flower head and put them directly into the silica gel. The flower head color changes slightly, and the form remains. They are exquisite! In fact, I've not found a flower that doesn't dry beautifully in silica gel crystals. Your wreath is so beautiful! Would love to see your results if you dry using silica gel. Let me know what you think!

The wreath turned out absolutely beautiful Daniele! I also have a few iris that are very similar to the Florentine silk iris. They are such a gorgeous color combo
