I do love the boxwood tree, I have done that in outside urs with pine and spruce branches, and I made door swags with branches too and addd white lights for around the doorways, this year I added some hydrangea dried flowers like you did on your outside tree. I must say I truly LOVE those bells and the memories you have and how you share them. Its so nice to have memories of christmas, my mom always decorated the house with HUGE amount of decorations and stuff she made in ceramics back in the 70's. those houses and trees are just so beautiful, and nothing that you see in stores today. Have a wonderful Christmas to you and your family! and of course Grace. You are so genuine in your videos and thanks for all the beautiful videos and inspiration you give us all.

Hi Danielle your boxwood tree turned out so pretty. I used to make probably 80 of those for a florist when I worked and then I used to do them here and there sometimes I'd make about 40 of them in a season I decorate them with little colored balls different little ornaments bows pine cones they're very pretty. I never used a potato before that's a great idea! And I had those bells myself when my kids were little! Sorry to say I passed them along to somebody else.
I'm so happy you have them for your home there's nothing like creating those fond memories around the holiday with the traditions you had going up to pass along to your own kids. Also I'm looking forward to your tour!

Hello: ) thanks for all your videos, love them: ) This time of year I made my own christmas cards for my friends and family and I used flowers from my garden. I made flower petal Christmas Nativity sceen. I pressed tulip petals as body and hydrangea, violets flowers as head, and as a star I used small maple leaves. I used a laminator. I added glass beads stars and flowers to decorate and sparkle all look of the picture. I made more than 70 cards and it was a blessing time to me: ) Now, most all of them are on their way to people: ) I would love to share some pictures. but where can I send it

I’m a member of the Federation Garden club of Missouri. Located in a very small town Mountian View. We make 100 6ft swags for the town to put up on all their poles. It’s the only Christmas decoration they have. We cut the greenery and make the bows then strap bundles of them onto a 6ft board. The town puts them up for us. Lots of locals come and help and we feed them soup and salads. It quite a progect taking 3 day to accomplish

I didn't do much with my grandmas, unfortunately. My mom was more into sewing, crocheting, knitting, and even macrame (1970s child, here. Our Christmas crafts involved that- oh and dough ornaments-. but. we went to a company Christmas party and the craft was sand art terrariums. That's as garden as it gets. On the flip side, I'm a new grandma looking to create those memories. I certainly have boxwood that needs a trim.

Loved the boxwood tree. . What a great idea. I was afraid that Gracey would take one of those potatoes and run off with it. Those bells are lovely and what a fun memory. My favorite old decoration that we had when I was very young were 3 dimensional red crepe bells. They had a diamond pattern when you opened them up. My mom hung them around the house. I wish I could find them now.

Oh my mercy! It is so interesting what our holiday memories are. I make Christmas sugar cookies like my mother did. She used food coloring to color the dough, and the cookies were never frosted.
Just a thought. If you have a fire in your fireplace, maybe the mantle would not be a good place for your bells. Love your potato boxwood Christmas tree!

My dogs think boxwood smells like cat wee. They killed all my boxwood by lifting their legs on it. I have planted lots of other evergreens but they are too small for cutting on yet, but I have high hopes for them. Right now I buy small trees for my porch to decorate and plant them out in spring.

Had never heard of the potato tree but it’s beautiful. My dad used to decorate the xmas tree he loved putting lots of tinsel on it. The tinsel didn’t look very good during daylight but at night with lights on it the tinsel glowed. Our memories keep xmas alive.

Some of my favorite Christmas memories are with my grandma. She use to craft those ceramic trees with lights and she and my aunt would make ornaments out of oyster shells. I saw some of those recently and thought of them. Thanks for sharing your memories.

I love this tree! I have more yew than boxwood. I wonder if that would work I grow lots of strawflowers, statice, and gomphrena for holiday crafting. Also, I like to grow some pumpkins and Lamb's Ears. I use them all for ornaments.

Try putting the tree on a cake stand if you have one. I've made a pine swag, pincone wreath and a Christmas pot using mostly natural materials for the front door. Most everything was free from the yard. Thank you for todays vid.

I like the topiary tree and especially instead of oasis using the potatoes. Good job! We have a set of the same musical bells as you do, we haven't put them out in quite a while but now I think we should pull them out again!

I hope my grandchildren remember me like you do yours. I never knew one set as they died when I was very young. The other, we didn't see very often
You were really blessed by yours. Love the bells!

I love seeing how patient you are with your dog. why not let her sit in the chair and watch you. You can judge a person in how they treat their dogs and cats. Bless you and Merry Christmas.

I loved seeing your face light up when you heard the music from the bells! It's so nice that you treasure memories of your grandma. Thanks for sharing!
