I'm finally getting back to renovating the sleeping loft in the off grid log cabin, and building free wood railings with wood found in the forest is the first step. I use a drawknife to carve spindles from sugar maple and striped maple and insert them into a split maple hand rail. I install a DIY barnboard wall to shield the loft from the hot pipe from the wood stove. In a future video, I will continue with the barn board enclosure and build closets and drawers for clothes storage and other necessities for off grid living

Your wife is so blessed to have you and your girls too!
Ive been following you on you tube and you amaze me on how you carried those logs by your self. Thats one way to build your muscles. Lol.
These kids today wouldnt have clue to survive in the wilderness. I would love to live like little house in the prairies days. I love this!
I missed the video on the extra room you added with the big window. What is that room going to be?
My dad had family that live in Canada but Im sure there all dead by now. We went there when I was 10 and Im 67 now, lol.
Is your wife and family coming up to live there with you? Just curious.

After watching your life outdoors for awhile now, I'm amazed at the whole 9 yards. You have a huge amount of specified knowledge, tenacity, financial freedom, a healthy body in shape, and the will to succeed. You obviously have all you need, and more. Those logs you drag look really heavy. I would find the whole scenario impossible. Just not built for it. But it's fun to watch. It's clear you are in your element, and loving it all.

A message: Faith and Hope.
Blessings from Spain.
Thank you very much.

What happens if you need to access that stove pipe? I've heard that soot can build up on the inside and that they sometimes need to be cleaned.

Such beautiful lumber! The cabin is magnificent! One criticism--the carnival lights strung about are really tacky. Isn't there a better solution?
