I am respectful of this coronavirus, but mostly realizing my cabin in the rural north on Tug Hill in NY is the place I can live without that worry. I try to be self-sufficient or have my cabin property set up in a manner that I wouldn't have to go to the grocery store for at least two weeks. People are hoarding during this virus thing, when they should have back-up and ensuring their elderly and loved ones are prepared, but NOT hoarding. No one really is into my cabin, so I am always up there alone. I knew that when I bought it, and I accept that people will live their way, and I'll live mine. :-)

Looking at the 10 day weather forecast, it seems like the temperature is rising and snow is turning to rain. In April, just a few short weeks away the temperatures will continue to rise and the snow continue to move to rain. It seems like we are going to have the privilege of seeing the porch finished and then get a tour of the compound, cabins and that back room and the porch. May seems to indicate beginning the workshop, garden and chicken coop with the new hunter cabin beginning in the fall. or see it seems to some totally non-cold wather South Carolinian.

I had a friend of mine that made his own maple syrup like youre doing but the tank that he use to boil it down had on lid. at the time he was doing this in his garage so he didnt have a cover. When he checked on it after so many hours course you keep checking and you keep stirring but to give you the end of the story he looked and there was a dead mouse in it. What would you have done would, throw the whole thing out or would you have thrown the mouse out and consider the seven second rule. I dont know what he did, never asked

40 people are dying a day in New York, and yesterday 6, 000 people were diagnosed with it. Quite a bit more impactful than the flu Shawn. Think about your fans that look up to you that will have or have had their families torn apart by this. Seems a bit insensitive to me to speak about something so serious on such a large platform.

Very inspiring. Fascinating alongside the genius of self-sufficiency parroting the misinformation about Covid. which started early. So sad what has happened in the U. S. since this video was posted. 10, 000 Covid deaths this week and inching up to quarter of a million since March, or approaching 30 times as deadly as the flu per capita.

I love to snare rabbits for food too, my father taught me how to do it when I was old enough to tag along with him. The only difference I see is, you are using a single strand wire, We used picture cord multi strad wire, its not as shiny so it doesnt spook the rabbits as the real snaring wire does. Great show and Spring is in the air.

In regards to the garden and increased food production. With all of that material right around you. You could get some serious compost production going. And start building your own soil. And if you're not aware of it already. Look up no till farming. Take care!

Im so glad you have your videos. It lets me escape and live right along with you. Sometimes I even forget where I am. You really have a good idea about teaching because youd be a good one. I dont think I am alone when I say how much I enjoy everything you do.
