Finally, I'm building my workshop in the forest with wood harvested from my property in the Canadian wilderness. In episode 1, I pour concrete footings and carry 6x6 timbers into place to begin building the log cabin/timber frame wooden building next to the newly dug pond, in sight of my hand built log cabin

it's humbling to watch these video's and to re-imagine the beauty of life in the wilderness, it wasn't that long ago when living in nature was more out of necessity i think we lose something core to our value system as we've evolved again out of necessity. Thank you for sharing your journey in the way you have created them, without narration for the most part, though i enjoy when you explain things at crucial times, but I would have to say that the silence during the most part allows the viewer to think, and comprehend what's going on, and i think that is what pulls me into your videos, i feel like a vouyer much like we all would be seeing the beauty of nature that you wouldn't see, ever, but to appreciate and wonder and imagine. thank you for these jems, truely inspiring.

it's a shame so many of us are born in to city life and debt slavery. there is so much open land space for humanity to live on this planet but we cramp up in small sectors of the planet and complain about the ecosystems dying, if that's the case why are there so many Trees still?

did your wife show you how to cook or you learn yourself? Does the wife bring in what other items you do not grow from town to supplement your needs? How big is your property out there? It seems like it is many acres. keep up the great work.

Will you eventually make a door from your screened-in porch to your kitchen? My mother has a door from her kitchen to her screened-in back porch. It is awesome with the wind blowing in and a place to just sit while she is baking.

one question. you can buy land in the canadian wilderness? how does that work and how much it cost? once you get that, you can pretty much build anything there and do what you want? asking for a friend: )

question is: how do you keep yourself safe in the night while you were building the house? especially in the early stage, i am sure you can't build the frame up in a single day.
