Shawn, do you sharpen your handsaws?
Will you insulate the underside of your roof?
Cali sure looks happy, but she looked embarrassed when you were rubbing the cream into her foot pads, LOL so much expression.
I grew up skating on pond ice, so different than an indoor ice-skating rink.
I only went skating once here in Japan or tried to, they had rental skates and they only had FIGURE skates, I could not skate on them to save my life LOL, my lovely Japanese wife had a really good laugh at the Canadian who could not skate, to this day I cannot convince her that figure skates and hockey skates are a completely different animal LOL
Take care.
Cheers from Tokyo.

We ve had 1 of snow, all but gone, winter s nearly over!
If that was a handful of fibre glass you put into that void, it won t do much good Shawn, it is a poor insulator against movement of heat. I realise you got to this build too late in the year but perhaps you should think about storing dried moss, or buying sheepswool (nearly a waste product now. I personally like the old idea of filling cavities with reeds as was done in England in the past. There again if it was me I d be asking building friends for waste/leftover insulation board!

Hey Shawn. we ve seen a few videos with your daughter(s) recently. Just curious, what field of work did they decide to go down? I m sure, being the great father that you are, you encouraged and supported them in their decision. Did you perhaps have any influence on them with regards to the outdoors and did that mean they now look for an outdoors profession? Or are they interested in living and working in the city? Best wishes.

I dont know too many men who work out in temperatures like you do and all year long. Actually just one, and that was my dad. You dont give up, you don t use weather as a excuse or to quit early, and thats why you accomplish so much. Boys need to get off the couch and get to working! They need to get their eyes in Gods word and their hearts. I pray safety and good health for you Shawn!

I think this workshop is where you will be while building your bigger cabin on your new site. Regardless, it s beautiful and has taken so much work! I enjoy your videos and know it takes so much to produce each one! Thanks so much for giving us all wonderful, non violent entertainment! And. give Calle a hug for all of us followers!

Don't know how you handle the cold! When it gets to 70 or below where I live, I'm wearing a jacket! BUT, the heat doesn't bother me as long as it's no warmer than 90. Living in So California has spoiled me! Love looking at the snowy scenery, especially with Cali in it. BUT, you couldn't get me near it. Take care and stay safe!

Wicked Weather we have been having Mr. James, My memory says 1969 January was similar but this Rocked us no doubt.
Warm up happening this weekend though, sending it to you.
Thanks for sharing, between this lock down and the nasty COLD, it's going to feel real GOOD to be in the warm again!
Take care!

0300 hrs PST here in WA STATE. Coffee's good. Single digits (F ) outdoors. I think how gingerly you hoisted those logs, especially as the walls grew higher. Whew. Love the stove. After heat has cleaned it up a bit, maybe some Stove black rubbed in. The shop looks great. Thanks for having us.
