Installing a Wood Stove and Oak Flooring in an Off-Grid Tiny Log Workshop

With plunging temperatures, I prioritize insulating the floor and installing a wood stove in my off-grid log cabin workshop. I remove the temporary pine flooring and install smoked oak boards that I milled last summer from trees I cut down on my property to make room for a vegetable garden. Jeanne: Shawn, my brother it looks like you've built yourself a Sherman tank! That structure will long out live you and me both. I've been watching you since day 1 and it just keeps getting better now doesn't it? The new property looks like something out of heaven. All our love, the Kelly family from the Berkshires.

This man is in presence, he is walking in state of meditation and depth. Because he has removed himself from the chaos of society and the thoughts that come with it. This state is something we all can get back if we silence and sit still. Then with this state comes a sense of Knowing. Nothing else needs to be said. Knowing what? you can only find that out yourself.

Good afternoon, Mr. James! Saw you just this morning and here you are again. Must be bonus Friday. Workshop looks terrific! Love the shot of the snow melting into the creek. Looks like a crystal chandelier. Looking forward to seeing the stone around the stove.
You have a wonderful day, Sir! Give Cali a hug from Syd.

If that water flow is near you. hydroelectric is possible as you know. Kris Harbour ( Wales UK) has tried, corrected, documented this and eventually overcome his difficulties in his unique situation. definitely worth a look m'dear. Sending everything good your way. and to all. xx

I like this new area much more. I feel you have more resources at hand like a running stream. Are you going to keep your original property as well to keep neighbors from encroaching too close? None of my business just curious and thanks for another fine video.

Great workmanship on your workshop.
I used fiberglass insulation on my tiny 702 sq foot house. Then found a company to spray foam the underside. Its nice and toasty when its cold.
Long johns is what we call long underwear. lol

It s kind of an honour to witness the first fire in your shop. And I swear I can smell the
smoke. Nothing like it. And a satisfying day for everyone. Nice to see you taking care of Cally s
needs. You are a good guy.

SO MUCH ACCOMPLISHED, Shawn! What a neat little work shop! That is a good little stove you found for the shop. I believe you did mention the size of the shop, what is it again? Do take care. (Fl)

I absolutely love this workshop structure, a beauty imho, outside and inside, the windows and the views are amazing. This building is a part of the land, it belongs there. I am at awe.

I love the look of the new workshop, those squared off logs are so neat and tidy! And your drone shots of the rushing stream set to music soothe my heart. Thank you Shawn.
