Morning Shawn and the James family. Thank You for a lovely video.
While we are almost the same age, I can no longer physically do what you do. Yet we work together. Your videos are always in the background while I am writing and drinking my morning coffee.
Please take care of each other, huge hugs to all of you. I'm so excited to see the cabin when you are finished and move into it. Bless you all.

Is your middle name Hercules. It seems like your tasks are Herculean to the average person. Hopefully altho your tasks appear Sisyphean, in the end they won't be as futile. I love how Cali turns everything into a game and how she looks at you to ask for more scratches. Pure unadulterated love. I wondered why you didn't use your deer hides for your spud sheath, or are they for some other project?

Yet another great video Shawn. Looks like we got the same storms down here in Pennsylvania. Plenty of rain this year. Too bad we can't share some with all those poor people in the Western states and provinces. Just read that the border may actually open again next month. If so, I just can't wait to plan a trip to Algonquin in September. Thanks!

Why did you build your cabin in a low lying area? Hope it doesn't suffer too much from water around the foundation? You'll have to plant thirsty trees around it to help soak up excess. Perhaps oranges? Peach that's if it won't attract predators? I've noticed this cabin has larg windows. The better to see you with! Says the bear! Be safe.

Your workshop is awesome, and the solar powered lights are a real boon to off grid life! I bet they are saving you from eye strain, lol. The light really helps to show off the beauty of the wood inside, too.
And it must be so nice to have the greenhouse: such an open, bright, and airy space to get out of the elements!

This video was very enjoyable to watch, an great mixture of your work, sweet Cali adventure and the magnificent, beautiful natural life all around you.
Here in Kentucky it has certainly been a very hot and rainy July so far. Hopefully our gardens can take so much rain and still produce quality vegetables.

I haven t watched in a long time. Can someone tell me what s new? It looks like he s building a bigger cabin but it seems to be in a totally different area. Why is he building another one after building all of the pit buildings etc. Hope someone can fill me in.

Shawn your camera skills are top notch. You are a very strong man Shawn And all I ask is to pace yourself because you seem to never stop. But I know you know what you are doing. Wow to see all the wild life on your very own land has to be awesome.

Oh, how I've missed the musical sound of rainfall!
My state is in a severe drought. I can't remember the last time we had a good storm.
Hopefully it's not causing any flooding issues at the cabin.
