Unfortunately I live kinda in the city with more of a country atmosphere. I have every dog in the neighborhood howling every morning and every time a fire truck, ambulance or police car zooms by. It s not beautiful haha. No just kidding it makes me homesick for Alaska. I just love watching you and Cali. Threw nothing better than fresh air the scent of pine with your best buddy by your side.

Shawn it wouldn t be a bad idea to install a 6 foot chain link fence around the perimeter of your cabin, say at least 1 to 2 acre coverage. At least you wouldn t have to worry about Cali getting attacked by wolves and coyotes. If you did do that, make sure you d go at least 1 foot under ground to prevent them from tunneling in.

man the place is looking great. one question you may have answered, the front vertical beams are sitting on big bolts and such. how are you going to fill in the space between the floor and the bottom of the vertical beam? that just looks scary to me: )

At my old home in the Shawanaga Lake area, it's common to hear the wolves but not common to see them.

Irwin sure makes good tools. This goes a long way to the building by hand, not electric tools. Things go bad when the expression the wolves are literally at your door.
