Beautiful trip to the North of Canada for some fall duck (and FEAST) cooked over an open fire! Our experiments with eating wild, brings us to the fall duck season. To supplement our wild game, we add beaver meat and spoils from our garden including, sunflower seeds, zucchini, pie pumpkin, and maple sugar, which I made entirely from scratch in the spring

What-s funny in this video is that you packed a number of skillets, and all this cookware, ziplock bags with all the seasonings, stainless steel water bottles, water, but as your showing this great preparation, of cooking and all the white flour, you use a dirty broken stick with dirty hands to stir it all up with.
Ha! -No thanks! - Hey just because your a guy, a hunter out in the wild doesn-t mean you can-t use a clean wooden spoon from home, instead of a stick as a stirrer. jus sayin, pretty comical!

Easy way to clean birds and animals with hair is boiling water. Its how we do it in hawaii. For birds dip the whole bird in the boiling water and the feathers come out easy. And for fur pour the boiling water on the animal and scrape with a knife.

Such a pity your Catch and Cook series, you did not show in more details of how it was caught and also the gutting and skinning of what was caught, especially the bigger game like a deer. If you had, it would have made your video complete.

Man. you have a crazy amount of freedom in your area to do stuff like this. Here in Washington state I'm sure you would've broken some crazy law that no one knew about. Over regulation is killing the outdoorsman here in the States.

I-m curious how much gear you turn down because you think it-s crap, lol, I would fully trust any gear you review. Your a no nonsense kinda guy and if it was crap you wouldn-t waste your time.

The Wooded Beardsman thank you for another video and your hard work. Awesome stuff! I'm curious as to what type of canoe that is you guys use in your vids? Any idea of the length and weight?

The Wooded Beardsman another great video and I was wondering do you know what's a good brand of a field dressing knife set? There is so many out there and would just like to buy it once.

That looks really good. I'm wondering, since you boiled the duck, how good would it have been to skin the duck, and use the fat in the pan to cook the bread. Great vid, as always.
