I lend Jeremy who is only eating wild food for the whole year, a hand, icefishing for walleye and perch on the big frozen lake, in search of a dinner. Jeremy is only eating wild food for an entire year so needs to collect 400 lbs of fish in order to stay on track and meet his caloric demands. A forager must collect 1 million calories in a year. Follow Jeremy at One Wildcrafter: We auger through over 3 feet of ice, drop a hook and minnow down ans drag up as many fish as we possibly can. We are using pop-up Eskimo fishing hut to stay warm and dry. We are fishing around North Bay on Lake Nipissing where there is a walleye size limit. Jerem y is only eating wild foods for the year, what he calls the big wild year so is limited on only eating food that he catches, forages or shoot himself. He has been eating raccoon, bear, deer, fish, and all sort of wild edibles like acorns, mushrooms, and even using wild spices

Dude, you can get a spoon and drag from the tail to the head (slowly) and rake a thick row of scales off. Keep your thumb in the bowl of the spoon and drag it with the bowl of the spoon facing the head.
Looked like fun! Great vid.

I have seen tip ups, tip downs. Of all makes and models. I think I would like to make a pare for thes. Good summer. Project plus I think it would be cool to catch something on that you made.

I've seen people scale fish in their kitchen by holding it in a large plastic bag, or if your super serious about your fishing line by grandpa was you put a huge double sink in your garage

I miss ice fishing up in Wisconsin but I don't miss the cold. When I finish school I'm going to buy a beater pontoon boat and cut holes in the center so I can -ice fish- down here again.

I would have thought it was better to keep. the small one-s and put the bigger ones back. as the big one are more mature in breeding as the little one need time to mature

When they allow you two holes each, and there are two or more of you, ALWAYS make a hole like 50 meters away, for -throw backs-. Less likely to catch them again.

Why is he choosing to eat only wild caught food? Good thing everyone else in the world doesnt do this, would ruin the eco systems: P

Jeremy needs to have a secluded lake in which he can farm-raise some perch, pike, walleye, then he will have enough fish to eat.
