Definitely agree with your ending talk about the differences between males and females. For a long time I believed that as a female I didn't need to have other female friends. I enjoyed my male friends all throughout my life and felt no problems with that. I was heavily more raised by my father and always loved the outdoors. Doing -non-girly stuff. - Naturally led to me spending more time with guys and enjoying my time. I feel I am grateful and lucky to have grown up that way because it has helped me find a good balance with friends and my time spent with them. It also allowed me to be there for my guy friends when they needed. I've been told that they sometimes feel better talking to me rather than the -other guys- possibly for judgement and I make sure to not repeat anything said to me because I want to respect the relationship/individual.
I don't usually prefer talking to people about my problems, however, I don't mind listening to them. I feel I'm able to have a chill relationship with guys friends by just playing video games or spending time outside camping, or on trails, etc. Just enjoying nature, but I also have the other side available where if I'm feeling really bothered and unsure on how to explain, I can go to my female friend and fail at explaining what's going on, yet she's able to understand and improve my mood.
For so long I disliked 'females. ' I disliked myself, and subconsciously denied possible good friendships that could have helped me out when I was younger. After some growing up I, again, definitely agree with your beliefs/opinions that men and women are different and have different requirements in how they deal with whatever issues they've got. I think it's good to have a desired mix of genders in your friend group, however big or small, that works for you. People are different. They're on a spectrum and will prefer different people over others. That's just how humans(social animals) work.

Hay I really appreciate your snare videos and the information you gave me. I wish I lived in an area that would yeild rabbits and squirrels but I am where I am. I absolutely agree with you that the current state of boys and masculinity is at an all time low. My dad was a banker during the week but a rock hound, prospector and an avid camper on the weekends. He dragged us all over Southern California to camp and fish. I took it all a step further with my 3 boys and went back packing throughout the Sierras and desert areas of So Cal. We have been on 4 day survival camp outs with only a little food and building our own shelters. All my boys are married with a good job and all are homeowners. I know kids that graduated with my boys in 1980 that are still living at home. Just so sad. What is worse is check out how Sweden and Norway are combating toxic masculinity. Having the boys dress as girls several days a week to know how it feels. Girls are known as HENS now. Its just all so sickening. See you out on the trail. Great video. CB

I needed this I just turned 20 I always been prone to talk about how I feel and anything that's bothering me since I was a little kid and it's always got me in a lot of trouble and made others ridicule and isolate me even ones who said it's okay it's only recently that I began to realize the importance of stoicism because no one really cares to hear about things that have hurt me in the past or present and I'm not getting anywhere doing so it sucks that society is this way this includes the people who are closes to me if I'm not useful and I'm also extremely emotional and prone to talk about it they'll want nothing to do with me.

Beardsmen Great vids you obviously spend alot of time on them. Yours thoughts on Masculinity resonate with me. My Dad was super religious and didn't fit the toxic masculinty profile but my best friends father did ex Marine etc. One of my favorite experiences growing up was turning their attic into a living space. Between the two of them I see the ying and yang you are describing. I wonder how many teenagers today would enjoy putting insulation and paneling in an attic. I did I got exposure to a more masculine role model did work and created something that my best friend got to live in away from his brother.

Everything in its place, and to the appropriate degree. Men need to be more balanced and cultivate better people skills. WE NEED IT! Showing emotions and vulnerability can, at times, put a guy on the outside of life, leaving him to merely look into a world he's excluded from. But going for too much -traditional- masculinity can do the same - especially if it turns toxic.
As a society, we ignore teaching young men how to negotiate this delicate dance on how to be both traditionally masculine yet sensitive to others. But by teaching it from an early age, and with practice, it can become second nature.

You and I are alike. We spent many weekend ends outside. Kids learning to fish, cook, gun safety. Problem today, broken homes hurt boys. Mothers can not make men from their boys. I gotta tell you, the outhouse -20. -30 below zero F kept the women home. LOL. keep that wood stove full. Also social media and screen time is hurting our kids.
Keep up the good work.
Oh, one last thing. Eggs in a HD zip lock bag. Shake them up. add whatever else you want. Boil in a pot of water. Only have a fork to clean. Use remaining hot water for clean up, coffee.

seriously, it feels really good to know that there are other people that understand that not only are these traits not bad, but actually beneficial, and even necessary. i also agree and appreciate that you made it a point to state that balance and learning when to embrace different traits is important for not only being a good man, but a decent human being.
the best part about this is that because of youtube, you reach so many people, and you have a really solid chance of actually helping some of the ones that really need it.

Until I try my hand against the local rabbit populations here in the states, it seems like generally good and sensible advice for what to look for, how to move, and how to trap. I thank you kindly.
I got nothing to add to what you've said about the traditional masculinity article. I've seen most responses from the political angles, since that's my inroad to most of these things, but I think you cover the important aspects very well, thoroughly and completely. I'm content to listen, and soak in what I can.
FULL STOP!

Chris. Loved the video. Its amazing how using aggression in the right way can not only help your self but can help mankind along the way. I'm. a builder without some sort of aggression during my day nothing will get done. Its purely how you conduct yourself as a man. A aggressive man will get nowhere in life a passive man will get nowhere in life. The hardest thing is finding just the right ballance my friend -

Amen! You hit the nail on the head and speak the absolute truth. Went through that with my step son in the first couple of years till I got him involved in the outdoors, fishing and sports ( like I was raised) and lead by example to teach him what it is to become a man. My outlet was wrestling started at 6 and wrestled for 15 years.
