I go fishing offshore on the Tideline with my buddy Tom Kazazes and his two sons, Peter and Devon, to catch different species of fish on the reef. I was fishing live bait on the bottom, Tom was vertical jigging, and Devon and Peter were fishing the surface. I got the first bite of the day, and it was a giant mutton snapper, one of the largest muttons I've ever caught! Shortly after, both Tom and I hooked and landed several amberjacks on live bait. After Tom and I caught the amberjacks, the flat line on the front of the boat went off, and a sailfish started leaping out of the water! Tom hooks his first-ever sailfish! The sailfish jumped nearly 30 times and put on an excellent show for Tom! We quickly landed the sailfish and then released it unharmed. To finish the day, Peter hooked and landed a monster 350lb bull shark; the biggest fish Peter has ever caught!

I can reel and control the rod with my right hand but I can only reel with my left hand so I reel left and control and aim the rod with my right. People that reel with their dominant hand seem like they just haven't figured out they're doing it the hard way

3rd or 4th video with this guy whining about reeling on the right. The doofus could switch it, but would rather complain and pretend it's interesting.

I m right handed and josh is the only other person I know of besides myself that likes to reel right handed. I hate reeling left handed. It feels so awkward
reply

I reel with the right side cause I hold the rod in my left side reason is almost everyone in South Africa we reel with our right hand not left
reply

Ok I caught a 50 pound amberjack a few days ago and I m about to get pissed bc my dad said there not in season and he s keeping these

I cast with my right Reel with my left on spinning rods, baitcasters and bigger ocean reels and obviously set with right sometimes both
reply

I m right handed, but always have a left hand retrieve. Why switch sides after every cast? Plus why set the hook with my weak hand?
reply

Right handed and reel with my right because I m a man and my left arm is strong enough to hold a rod unlike a lot of you it seems
reply

Amber jacks are filled with nasty muscle flukes. Discusting even if you fillet the worms out and cook the hell out of the meat
reply

Left for small reds like casting a Lot but right for casting and letting sit like bull reds and big black drum and sharks
