We have a lot of coal mine strip pits nearby. Helping the Sheriff'd Department I've found a 45, 3 - 22 handguns, quite a few knives and I've lost count how many insurance rip-offs. About 15 pick-ups, 78 Trans Am, BMW, and a bunch of other vehicles. One time they needed me to check one pit in the dead of winter. Told them sorry but it was too damn cold. They bought me a dry suit so I went ahead to look. Found the car with a body inside. Ir had been a suicide and the car was about 45 feet down. We used a crane to get it out, Didn't really enjoy it but it did close the case,

I know its a few years ago but cool vid and great working with the local law enforcement. BUT your underwater search is a bit loose. I have conducted many zero visibility searches alone and with a team, from 5m down to 60m and for sure to cover the ground better you should be at least attached to each other so that you can sweep the area in longitudinal runs. Then swing around the inside guy, allow him to move three feet sideways and then continue your sweep. Keep going guys love your vids

Honestly, for this kind of search, you disturb way too much silt picking up useless stuff. Using the metal detector is probably the best notion as a gun will trigger a hard response. With someone running, they're not going to stop and make a long bomb, they're going to flip it hoping most likely that it won't be noticed by anyone chasing so hard target tight grid search within feet of the bridge would have been the best method.

Found a bb gun, found a staple gun. This sounds like a comedy skit: you go in to look for an actual gun, you start pulling out a staple gun, glue gun, squirt gun, soldering gun, blowgun, gunnysack, gunnel fish, a book on the shogunate, a vinyl of Guns N Roses.

So, we di'n't find much gum in the water. Dude, I said 'GUN' not gum! What? A GUN? Guns are dangerous, man, why would you want us to find one of those? Besides, don't you already have your own gun?

the gun would have gone the other direction if he was running and tossed it and then the curnet would have pulled it away so the fish probably ate it
