It's not wrong to say crappie. People pronounce it like that all over the country, in the north and south. Some people pronounce it like clop and many like clap. I grew up in NY calling them calico's but now I call them crappies (like clap not clop. In louisiana they call them sac-a-lait. In most of FL they only have black crappie and call them specks or speckled perch.

Dang so many fishes in Florida, can't wait to visit my parents. I called them yesterday and yes the rocket woke them up the other night. Dad ran out to look, but reported he was a little late and didn't see anything. I wanna selfie of me with any fish and a rocket going into space. Lady D, have you ever thought of that for a vid? Crappie are one of the best tasting fish! If you ever go on a fresh water tour, come up to Lake Jordan in Wetumpka, AL. Great crappie fishing with spider riggings. Lot's of excitement when you get 2 or 3 fish on at once!

caught 3 huge crappie last weekend and three more this morning 3/31/19 they are starting to hit really good, and it was kinda cold n rainy out.

Great video for the windy time of year. My wife and I go out of that boat ramp after a cold snap and have great fun catching crappie!
