In this Florida fishing video, we go saltwater fishing during the mullet run on our flats boat. Beach fishing for tarpon and watching for big swells and shorebreak waves. Our small boat gets caught inside huge waves. Rogue waves hit and swamps boat!

Darcizzle, instant freak out, Brian, hay, thats fun, lets do it again! I saw that Brian added power to the motor to get the boat moving so he could get some hydrodynamic lift going to lift the boat up out of the water a bit. Low profile flats boats are gonna get wet from time to time. Just comes with. Get used to it. I suspect that little boat was built with enough reserve buoyancy to handle that dunking with minimal problem.

If youve done enough fishing in the ocean you know about the rogue waves, if you dont have everything tied down which you dont its gone and your lucky you didnt capsize, its a experience you never want to go through again, I used to commercial fish and most of the time you crapped in a five gallon bucket and if you lose it your hanging off the edge of the boat for the rest of the trip, I hate rogue waves!

Wowww, that's the time where No Center Plug could be life threatening for sure. Glad all is well.
-I have seen boats and barely floating Kayaks. when center plug was out, not realized until water in the hull.
(Have been on a boat, where the checklist confirmed that plug needed to be put in. Back up the ramp)
Yess, some quick thinking and good driving! Thumbs up.

Perhaps you both should be wearing a Mustang life vest. I know they would take away a bit from videoing Darcys gorgeous body but being safe is way better than being dead! Glad you both are ok! Ive had waves crash over bow of my old 19 ft Grady White. and it wont fun! Good job Brian, both with the boat and calming Darcy down!

Most of these boats are filled with foam flotation so they won't sink even filled with water. The boat sinking is NOT the concern here, it's what's lurking below the surface that will have a Sizzling Lunch if they end up swimming for shore. Puddin' will be saved for desert!

You don't go straight directly into a wave. You hit it at an angle of maybe 40 degrees. It is just enough to roll over the top and come down into the trough stable. Straight on your bow goes airborn and you do an endo burying the bow like on your last wave.

Brian great job capturing that boat man you did a great job protecting yourself your girl and your vessel you stayed very calm and focused and reassured Darcizzle The whole time. You might act cute but no doubt youre a man

Not sure where this guy would be without darcizzle but I dont think he would be a Captian. In Most of these videos I feel like Im learning what not to do but her body keeps me watching

Damn that was scary! I was wondering if you tilted your motor out and gunned it to raise the bow before the wave hit you if it would have helped?
