In this Florida Keys catch clean cook fishing video, we catch mutton snapper on our flats boat. I show you how to fillet and clean snapper full of roe! We taste test by eating fish roe raw aka fish roe sushi. Plus cooking and fry fish eggs

Another great video! I usually use any fish eggs I can gather as bait. But. There is a recipe that is pretty close to pickled herring that you can use for roe. Big problem is, it is a top secret ancient Scandinavian recipe that if I share, I will be ritualusticly killed. But. Brian has good ways of finding such things out on his own. Love the cooking segments you both do! Thank you so much for letting us all tag along as you inspire us all. Keep on Catchin'.

Hi - I'm a big fan of your videos. I knew fresh water damaged fish fillets but I didn't realize it was due to osmosis so thanks for that tip. I have a tip on the saltwater/ice mixture. Instead of grabbing the saltwater from the canal or boat dock, grab it when you are still offshore or wherever you are fishing. It is a bit cleaner and more appetizing. I just scoop up a little in a 5 gallon bucket before heading in. Cheers and keep up the great work!

I eaten fried fish roe from multiple species in fact on the mighty Columbia River we are in the middle of our Shad run and the fried roe from shad is a true delicacy. As far as raw not a chance. If you ever get a chance to watch Monsters inside of me which is a documentary on unusual parasitic infections in humans. A significant proportion of the unusual parasites come from uncooked aquatic life forms.

I dunno how i got here, but it was entertaining to watch Can you eat it raw like that no problem? I sometimes have it here, never dared to not cook it, auheauhe
Also, my condolences for your father. I'm sure you honor his memory by being who you are, and that's the best we can do for those who are no longer with us. Stay strong, friends, and thanks for the video.

look like you can eat that raw, with some wasabe! I would love to try that raw! Try it raw, might be good! In fish white row is male yellow row is female, yellow row is better! The fish you should try raw not the row! Gross Land Shark make you do amazing things! Lol! Good video!

Beautiful snapper! I grew up eating fish Roe. My mother was English so we ate all the awful offall things (:
She'd make patties, including leftover mashed potatos, parsley, green onion, an egg and seasoning with the roe, then pan fry them in butter

I really enjoy the equipment and technique explanations. Surprised that 20# braid is adequate. It must allow for at least 500 yards on that reel. You are both brave to try the roe. You are wielding those Bubba Blades like a surgeon with her scalpels.

I've always heard that people eat mullet roe but never from other fish other than from beluga sturgeon. I tried fried mullet roe once but it tasted like a salt block. My brain was not gonna allow me to try it raw.
