going old school, I have run charters for 30 years. I prefer 1/4 inch thick, seems to make wary fish hold on an extra second or two and get hooked. Wary sailfish and white marlin will swim through a spread of Ballyhoo and annihilate an extra long strip. If you show your viewers all the other belly strips of the other fish that people throw away while cleaning, they will only put Hoos in the spread for drag the buffet effect. The smaller strip trimmings you tossed can be used as spoon tippers to give spoons a different wobble with a tasty bit on the end. keep up the good work

OMG Cizzle you sure can handle that knife AND with all of your fingers I I might add. Brian thanks for the great rigging tips as well. The only thing I miss about So. Fla is the fishing. I was living in Perine/Cutler Ridge when they made the Card Sound bridge. What a great place to fish that was.

AWESOME Video guys. i just sent this to 4 buddies in Florida that bought a place in Suuuuuwanee in Jan: ) Can't wait to get to the Coast for some saltwater. i have been catching some Lunker Toad Largemouths every weekend on a stocked 5 acre lake my Bud has in Ga. 3-9lb. all day!

I was surprised you took so much off. I would have thought leaving a bit on there and may flaking it before you cast would allow small bits to come off and chum the water as you troll. The fish would follow the scent trail left behind and may be attract larger fish on to the bait.
