Just a personal note. And im not hatin on those people that bust on her for not releasing it. but sometimes you Must enjoy the pleasures of 'what you do' in Life. I was fortunate to grow up in Florida in a commercial fishing family and catch 1000's and 1000's of fish, whether in long nets or line (it was Hard work. It was to make money and EAT, we were a blue collar workn family! With that said, i've caught and released 1000's of fish Like DARCY. i cannot tell you the times i've watched her catch 100's of snook (my FAVE fish) and release it, as i had to 'turn my head in grief' hahaha. Facts: I once tossed my 10' mullet net (20' spread) at the beach one day on Longboat Key and caught 18 Snook 28 avg long each. It was 2 days before the season began. i Released them and walked back up to the house and cried like toddler, so there's that. it's good KARMA, and i've caught 100's since =)

Not sure if you have any Coast Guard Auxiliary folks down there, but here in Maryland, I get my boat safety checked every year by a Coast Guard Auxiliary person. They safety check my boat and give me a sticker and paperwork that states my boat is Coast Guard checked. When the coast guard roll up on the Chesapeake Bay and see the sticker, they tend to wave and go on their way. No guarantee they wont board your boat, but it has worked for me.

Just for FYI, you can keep the old flares, you just have to keep them separate in a zip=lock freezer bag marked old flares. If you should ever need to use some flares, and run out of your current dated flares, you have the old ones that will most likely still work. Or if not in dire strights, fire off the old ones first. But they have to be seperated from your good ones. I assume it's the same in FL as it is in CA.

Man. Some beautiful fish you guys! And those sail fish ( never caught one myself ) are insane! Just watching this, I had no idea they glided along the surface like that when hooked. Crazy! That fish is definitely on my radar to catch when I get the chance.

Don't play with your food! That's what my mother always used to tell me when I had to eat something I didn't like. She overcooked the vegetables and I thought I hated veggies until I was an adult and started eating them raw.

Brian. any video of filleting that African Pompeo? ( Spelling is probably wrong? ) Just wondering how much meat you get off a fish that size? Also, the taste? Anything you guys can compare it too?

Now I'm not going to nitpick, but if Brian would have taken that long to net one of Darcie's hogs, there would have been verbal abuse. just sayin!
Congrats on a epic day of fishing!
