Beer battering makes the batter too thick and the fish a bit tough. I just make sure the fish fillet is wet with water before putting it in the fish corn meal, which is yellow and white corn meal, salt and pepper, and maybe some fish seasonings. Nothing has ever tasted better to me than crappie fillets! Croppie---not crap py!

Love the croppie fishing video. Never ever have I needed a net. They are some slabs and the best fresh water fish to eat. Walleye runs a close second. Thanks for the video, enjoyed as always.
