Do not let your boys compete with one another. It will lower the so called weaker one's self-esteem. Worst if the younger one is better than the older one. It's ok if they compete with others, they should always feel like they are a team and not opponents. As they get old, if someone messes with the other, the other knows it's game time when they are a team. When they compete and the strong one is struggling, the weaker won't help because that's what the weaker one wants to see.

Only two things to say, really. First is. Nice! Second is. Thank-you for being the kind of Dad, that our Fathers were, and raising boys to be men, to think independently as individuals, but to value a team effort. I never was able to have kids, but my Brother has Four Boys, and they are raising them the same way we were raised, and much the same as you are raising your kids. So thank-you Gabe, for the no apologies approach that so many parents seem to have forgotten.

Took my 23ft on the gulf side which my condos was on at low tied it was 6inch of water I had to plan the trip properly it was kinda stress full I went fishing 10miles offshore and caught 12- mangrove at the dock at guy Harvey resort and hung out with manatees my daughter loved itself had a good dinner like bluegane said the restaurants aren-t that good

I walked over a mile to school on broken toes(never set by a doc) and sprained ankles when I was a kid. People are to wimpy now on kids. I would have been happy to fish off the back of a boat with my daddy and learn about nature like these kids are learning. These kids are the non-wimpified future.

I got two young boys myself, I tell people when they say I-m being tough on them that I-m teaching them to be self reliant young men that can Contribute to this world not take from it. Because Dad is not always going be there to hold there hand. awesome job your doing with yours.
