Growing up I was the only one in the family that consistently fished. My momma wouldn't even look at a whole fish so I only kept crappie big enough to fillet and I thought it was the best thing swimming in fresh water. Fast forward to the first time I ever had whole bluegill. that's some good eating. But the fish you gotta try whole is yellow perch. Gotta go a bit north from y'all to find them.

Good video. I like bluegills and blackbass better they taste the same. I eat crappie too but they are kinda tasteless. I guess that is why people like them. I like catfish too usually the small ones like 12- cooked whole but skinned.

Gabe scale the fish in the sink completely submerged under water. This will contain every scale so when done pull the drain without removing it and all scales will be caught in the catch. WIFE WILL NEVER COMPLAIN--

You never heard -Magnolia Blues- by Paul Davis? Give it a listen. I live about twenty miles from Soso. ALSO, have you tried Zatarain-s Crispy Southern fish fry? It is so good!

in terms of panfish i would rate them like this, Bluegill > sunfish > crappie > rock bass, if i can catch a basket of those fish, it will be a good day.

I know exactly where Soso is. Micheal-s sister Susan is a very good friend of ours. You said the Micheal-s name and I was like I know his guy. Great video.

Why in the world would you waste time scaling those fish! You can fillet them just like any other fish. We don't ever scale ours. We always fillet.
