Here in the Northwest we use Catfish as an excellent garden fertileizer. Most of us eat nothing but fresh water rainbow lake trout and emerald green crystal clear river stealhead and king salmon blue gill. Fresh water perch. Yummy nothing like some excellent dungeness crab. Can't beat the pacific west for fresh sea food.

My grandpa use to use chewin tobacco as bait when catfishin.
The plug chewin tobacco is the best.
After placin it on the hook, makin a cast.
Then, after a while when they would come up on the bank to spit. --

I missed the bait on first run through. I was cooking. I liked the video. Only thing is we don-t have mr pibs up here in the northeast but I can get Dr Pepper so we-re gonna have to test it out. Will let you know if we get bigger ones with the soda

When I was a child I used the end part of hand soap to catch catfish. All one had to do was attach the hand soap to a hook and set it in the water. The soap let a trail in water and the catfish would follow it. It is slower than soft drinks but works.

Watching you fillet that catfish gives new meaning to the term 'butcher- Get a sharper knife and when you catch the fish cut their throats so they bleed out and when you clean them there will be no blood and the fillets will a lot more appealing.

WHERE in the double rainbow f. do you get such a tiny moufed net? If I brought THAT net fishing with my buds I would have been laughed at or worse. AND to LOSE a fish, I'd have been PUNCHED!

Make sure you weight your lines down with a sinker to prevent killing birds that chase your bait for food, it also helps prevent outboards getting tangled in your line
