I love these 'Lad & His Dad' sessions you do John, throws me back 25 years to the start of my boy 'teaching me everything he knows' during our days hidden in a wood along the Old Trent stretch deep in the East Mids countryside. Butties in the woods as we free-lined mussel to the River-Rockets hiding out of the flow under the willows. Every time I hear Jame's voice off-camera, I'm thrown back to our time in Fir-Tree Wood and the line snaking rapidly out to mid-stream as my boy squeeled 'I'm in dad. woah! Thanks to the pair of you.

I thought it was only me that attracted the - mentally challenged- people whenever and indeed wherever I go!
Ha ha, either of Weymouths' piers will serve you well in that respect
Especially at night
I just pretend to be foreign, when I see the aforementioned folk approaching nowadays.
It's easier and more polite than telling them to pi#- off.
Often I'll get some loony/ self confessed expert chatting away to me as im trying to set up - my pet hate.

Got yourself a good fishing buddy there. Thanks for your hard work producing these videos I really enjoy. I took my son out on the Fal last summer in our honwave & he caught his first mackeral then acouple of full stings. Never head the end of it when we got back in how he out fished his dad who caught surprise surprise nothing.

Great vid as usual John, thought the drunk bloke was funny.
I don't know why some people cant clear up after themselves, it's so annoying- just like dog owners letting their dog take a dump and not clean up after them. A good military name for that sort of person is a - Cockwomble -. cheers Phil Manchester.

Love the bit where the drunk appears im a magnet for them to i dont mind as 99% are no reel bother and at strange times of night maybe your giving a lost soul someone to talk to in a time of need. Great videos mate keep up the good work

great video. always amazes me how fast crabs smash your baits surely this should attract fish? I've fished some mark full to the brim with the buggers where are the fish? lol. I always get the weirdos too!
